Proverbs 1:3
3 To receive [laqach] the
instruction [muwcar] of wisdom [sakal], justice [tsedeq], and
judgment [mishpat], and equity [meyshar]; KJV-Interlinear
3 to receive instruction in wise dealing, in
righteousness, justice, and equity; ESV
The fundamental
purpose of the written Scriptures, is so that you can receive instruction.
Receive, conveys the idea of intellectual reception resulting from academic
teaching, and means to take possession of, or to lay hold of and own, the
information being taught, within your own soul.
The instruction of
wisdom, represents the self-discipline and genuine pursuit of academic
training.
Instruction in
justice, is a reference to the thing itself, namely Bible doctrine.
Instruction in
judgment, refers to the reason and rightness of the thing being taught, namely
Bible doctrine and the principles contained therein.
Instruction in
equity, refers to the information being taught as being agreeable, and
compatible, and consistent within the content of the Scriptures.
Therefore we do
not instantly believe anything and everything that we hear, that is being said
by someone else. We examine what we hear, we analyze what we hear, we ponder
and consider the consistency of what we hear, and over time we can determine
whether the information being taught is correct, or a bunch of hokum.
When a person is
in fellowship, which means when you have confessed your sins to God the Father,
as per 1 John 1:9, and God restores you to fellowship, then while in
fellowship, the Holy Spirit functions as a clarifying agent with respect to the
validity and truthfulness the thing being taught.
Within that
operational sphere, namely fellowship, then clarity of the information being
taught is much easier.
When a person is
outside of fellowship, then the clarifying function of the Holy Spirit is not
available, and therefore making it easy for false information and deception to
enter into your thoughts.
But as we advance
through the study of Proverbs, just as we have advanced through many other
books within the Bible, instruction in doctrine is paramount and a requirement
before one can learn and know the truths of life.
Anyone can read
the Bible and learn the words and verses. But, if they read the Bible or listen
to instruction outside of the spiritual process, then they will not receive
spiritual benefit from the information being taught.
The spiritual
process, learning doctrine while in fellowship, is the framework and
environment for the success of the spiritual life.
So it is not the
words themselves that bring spiritual benefit, it is the adherence and
consistency of the daily study within the spiritual process, that brings
spiritual benefit, spiritual growth, spiritual completeness to the individual
believer.
Anyone can read,
in the beginning, David and Goliath, Mary and Joseph, and so forth, but the
real secret, or the real key to spiritual success is from being in fellowship,
and therefore under the control of the Holy Spirit, learning the written word,
and Christ is the word, and then living ones life while in that fellowship
sphere.
The spiritual
process is how the structure of the soul is constructed, and finished, and
completed. And the soul is your life, therefore, the spiritual process is your
key to a completed life.
These
studies are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org,
and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so
already, and therefore not be lost forever.
And
if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you
can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come
to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and
purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a
phenomenal eternal reward which you will have forever. To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily
study means you will be incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big
time.
The
Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human
history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to
complete yourself beyond your imagination.
But
you have to decide to make that commitment.
No one else can study for you.
You have to do that yourself.
