Psalm 37:28

28 For the LORD [Y@hovah] loveth ['ahab] judgment [mishpat], and forsaketh [`azab] not his saints [chaciyd]; they are preserved [shamar] for ever [`owlam]: but the seed [zera`] of the wicked [rasha`] shall be cut off [karath].   KJV-Interlinear

28 For the LORD loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.  ESV

The word for judgment, refers to the concept of justice, which means the whole due process of distinguishing and determining right from wrong, wherein right is rewarded and wrong is punished.

And therefore the entire process of justice is something that God holds in high regard. Otherwise if there was no justice or judgment, then evil would take over and rule, and everything in existence would come to an end.

The whole purpose of creation, and of life, came about so that we could share God’s life forever.

To preserve that destiny, then evil in all of its forms has to be removed permanently.

Looking back on human history, there are examples of humanity, and angels for that matter, destroying their own environment and their lives. And not just once, but over and over again.

The angels with the rebellion of Satan, upset the whole balance of the universe. They upset life on this planet and even destroyed it, such that planet earth became null and void as stated in Genesis.

Man had a perfect environment in the Garden of Eden, but one single transgression resulted in the loss of that garden.

Man nearly destroyed himself again prior to the flood of Noah. And again during the circumstances surrounding the tower of Babel. And again and again, throughout history, the sin nature of man has demonstrated evil upon evil as man destroyed man, as man enslaved man, as man pursued aggressive action just to seize more and more of the world and the things that he is not even entitled to.

But through it all, Jesus Christ controls history. And life in the future is and always will be preserved for those who belong to God. And those who belong to God are the ones who have believed in Jesus Christ.

Those who reject this concept will be cut off. And the word for cut off refers to a total removal from life, from history, and from memory. One day it will be as though evil never existed, and no one will have any memory of it, and no one will have any memory of anyone who was engaged in evil.

So there are only two choices, the first is to believe in Christ and therefore have a certain and guaranteed destiny and future and eternal life. And second choice is to reject Christ and end up with nothing, which is also a certain and guaranteed result of that refusal to believe.
