Psalm 37:32
32 The wicked [rasha`] watcheth
[tsaphah] the righteous [tsaddiyq], and seeketh [baqash] to
slay [muwth] him. KJV-Interlinear
32 The wicked watches for the righteous and
seeks to put him to death. ESV
The wicked, refers
to anyone who functions outside of Gods will. The wicked includes
non-Christians, for obvious reasons, but it also can include Christians who
refuse, or are indifferent toward, functioning within the spiritual life as God
intends.
God created the
spiritual process. It is not a difficult process to understand, for it requires
only that Christians confess their sins on a regular basis in order to live
within a spiritual environment. And while in the spiritual environment, which
we call fellowship, Christians are expected to learn Bible doctrine, which is
the word of God.
While learning,
Christians gain an understanding, which is the ability to discern or
distinguish right from wrong, truth from false.
And while
learning, and living within that spiritual environment, which we call
fellowship, Christians grow up in their spiritual life, and gain wisdom, which
is advancement toward spiritual maturity, which is the objective of the
Christian life.
A person has to be
a Christian, obviously, in order to have a spiritual life in the first place.
And, a person has to want to learn Bible doctrine, in order to know what it is
that God wants him to know. And, a person has to pursue the learning of Bible
doctrine, in order to get anywhere within their spiritual life.
The spiritual
process is something that God provides so that we can be more and have more in
life, as He intended.
The non-spiritual
process, is when the individual tries to do everything themselves, separate and
apart from God’s will and God’s process.
The spiritual
process is grace, and the non-spiritual process is mans works.
And when you live
outside of Gods will, then you do so by choice, and you do so by rejecting God’s
process.
When God’s process
is rejected, whether it is done actively or passively, then the individual by
default, declares that his method is better than God’s method. And that is the
attitude of the wicked. Any rejection of Gods will is a form of wickedness.
The wicked,
therefore, by rejecting God’s will, declare that they can achieve and or gain
what they want, apart from Gods grace. They in effect, are attempting to take
for themselves, the things that God intends to provide for spiritually obedient
individuals.
And therefore, the
wicked in effect put to death, which is a separation from something, the
blessings of God from those they are intended for, namely spiritually obedient
believers in Christ.
And far too often,
people are caught up in their own opinions, and are blinded by their own
stubbornness, and refusal to listen and learn Bible doctrine.
