Romans 5:8

8 But [de] God [ho theos] commendeth [sunistao] his [heautou] love [agape] toward [eis] us [hemas], in that [hoti], while we [hemon] were [on] yet [eti] sinners [hamartolos], Christ [Christos] died [apothnesko] for [huper] us [hemon].   KJV-Interlinear

8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.   ESV

All talk and no action, as they say, is the remarkable character of the phony.

Christ died not by means of unthinking emotion, but in conjunction with the principles of truth.  The word for love, ‘agape,’ stands for the principles of truth.

And, while all of humanity was in sin, and therefore, a defined enemy of God, God did this of His own will and volition.

We did not deserve it, and could not earn it.  But God carried out the divine plan regardless of our attitudes or condition.

The word for God, ‘ho theos,’ refers to ‘The God’ or the ultimate authority over all that exists and beyond.  God is not confined by space or time, and exists within and without it.

And the fact that God, so loved us, or had a plan to effect our salvation, both combined with the name of Christ, makes Christ co-equal to and co-infinite with God and the divine plan.  Both of which were originated in eternity past and prior to any creation.

In Christianity we call this the Divine Decrees.

So, not only was the plan authored before humanity existed, and retained and carried out during human history, and maintained throughout history and into the future, then Gods principle of salvation is consistent with His essence attribute of immutability.  He does not change.

God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, and in Him we can completely depend and trust.

In contrast, we as humanity cannot be trusted.

We have been born into this world, coming from absolutely nothing, and have the opportunity to live in heaven with phenomenal blessings, and God has put this plan into effect and kept it in effect.  And yet humanity demonstrates complete untrustworthiness.

Even knowing this, most will not make the effort to learn more and grow more and complete themselves more.

All talk and no action, as they say, is the remarkable character of the phony.

And yet, God still sticks with His plan.
