Isaiah 29:22

Isaiah 29:22

22 Therefore thus saith ['amar] the LORD [Y@hovah], who redeemed [padah] Abraham ['Abraham], concerning the house [bayith] of Jacob [Ya`aqob], Jacob [Ya`aqob] shall not now be ashamed [buwsh], neither shall his face [paniym] now wax pale [chavar].   KJV-Interlinear

22 Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no more be ashamed, no more shall his face grow pale.   ESV

Therefore, is a reference to all that has just been said.  Therefore, is the consequence of the happy and fulfilling changes that will be made, subsequent to the oppressors being removed, the victims will celebrate and rejoice, when all that lack doctrine will be taught doctrine and therefore learn it because they will want to learn.

And therefore, because of all of this, in those final days of history and the beginning of the new era in the millennium, then, the house of Jacob will no longer be disappointed, no longer be pale with fear or disappointment or shame brought about by all of the failures of the descendants of Jacob.

The same Lord, who is Jesus Christ, who saved or redeemed or delivered Abraham out of the land of idols and into a new land.

The house of Jacob further identifies the true people of God, and specifically the Israelite race, due to the faith they have in the Messiah, and thus eliminates all other brothers or descendants of Abraham, who are not a part of the chosen line because of their unbelief.

When Abraham turned to God and left the idols of his former land, behind him, he crossed over the river into the new land.  This crossing over also represents his crossing over from idolatry, to faith in Christ.  He thus acquired the name of Hebrew, or one who crossed over.

Then from Abrahams descendants which designates the line of Christ, from Abraham through Isaac, to Jacob, this eliminates all other children of Abraham and focuses on the Israelites, which is what the nation was called after Jacobs name was changed to Israel.

So, Abraham represents the pattern of faith.  Jacob represents the line of faith.  His children represent the nation of faith, or Israel.  And then many centuries later, the residents of Judah later called Judea, were called Jews and represented the departure from faith in preference for the burdensome regulations and works of Judaism.

And that departure pattern has continued through the many centuries even up and until our present day, and will continue until the Tribulation, when then and only then, the Jews of that future time, will turn to Christ.  Up until that time of their great repentance, they will suffer numerous times in history, which we have already seen in history and they will continue to suffer right up to the bitter end of history until they finally repent, as a race that is.

And then once all of history has been accomplished, once the Second advent has occurred, once evil has been defeated and the Kingdom of God has been established, then the habits of old will be no longer, and the habits of faith and learning and spiritual growth will be established.

Until those final days, these changes will not occur, in mass, because people and specifically the Jewish people, will stubbornly refuse to change.  And that refusal is the main reason why all of the hardships of the past, present and future, have, and will occur.

And note one important principle.  When people change and repent and obey and learn and grow in their spiritual life, then changes, dramatic changes, in life, do occur.  But when people insist on doing things their own way, thus rejecting Gods way, then trouble is always just around the next corner.
