Isaiah 30:4

4 For his princes [sar] were at Zoan [Tso`an], and his ambassadors [mal'ak] came [naga`] to Hanes [Chanec].   KJV-Interlinear

4 For though his officials are at Zoan and his envoys reach Hanes,   ESV

The princes and ambassadors, represent people who hold and occupy the highest positions in ranks within the nation.  Zoan and Hanes, represent the homes and residences of the kings and royalty of Egypt both in lower Egypt as well as in the more distant upper Egypt.

The Bible has to be interpreted in the time in which it was written, and back in Isaiah’s day, traveling from Jerusalem to Egypt was a lengthy, and costly, and dangerous trip.

And what Isaiah is describing here is that the Israelites preferred to go on long and painful journeys and to expend vast sums of money as well as taking expensive gifts which were supplied by and paid for out of the resources of Judah, so that they could be given to the royalty of Egypt in order to obtain an alliance with Egypt.

The contrast here is that God is near, as close as your own thoughts and prayers, access to God is free, the price of which is faith, and there is no danger in turning to or going to God.

Remember this chapter opened up with a warning to those who ignored God, ignored Christ, and ignored their spiritual life.

By doing that, people turn to the world and they wrap themselves up in the world, and they go to great extremes and effort and expense in order to align themselves with the world. And in all of this, in the hope that the world will somehow benefit them, prosper them, secure them, and make life better for them.

And that hope and belief is a false hope, is a false belief, because those things in the world do not exist.

People will do more to avoid their spiritual life, and gain nothing.

People could do far less by pursuing a daily Bible study, and end up gaining everything and more.

These studies are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org, and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so already, and therefore not be lost forever.

And if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal eternal reward which you will have forever.

To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.

The Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to complete yourself beyond your imagination.

But you have to decide to make that commitment.  No one else can study for you.  You have to do that yourself.
