Isaiah 30:6

6 The burden [massa'] of the beasts [b@hemah] of the south [negeb]: into the land ['erets] of trouble [tsarah] and anguish [tsowq], from whence come the young [labiy'] and old lion [layish], the viper ['eph`eh] and fiery [saraph] flying [`uwph] serpent [saraph], they will carry [nasa'] their riches [chayil] upon the shoulders [katheph] of young asses [`ayir], and their treasures ['owtsar] upon the bunches [dabbesheth] of camels [gamal], to a people [`am] that shall not profit [ya`al] them.   KJV-Interlinear

6 An oracle on the beasts of the Negeb. Through a land of trouble and anguish, from where come the lioness and the lion, the adder and the flying fiery serpent, they carry their riches on the backs of donkeys, and their treasures on the humps of camels, to a people that cannot profit them.   ESV

Isaiah describes the certainty of failure when a person turns away from God, Christ, and their daily spiritual life.

An Oracle is a prophecy or a prediction that is certain to occur. And in verse six, Isaiah is describing the certainty of the failure of Judah’s attempt to secure an alliance with Egypt. And, not only is Isaiah describing the failure, but Isaiah is describing the high price of failure.

Anytime a person drifts away from the truths taught in the Bible, then they are entering into a journey away from truth, and that journey will cost them dearly.

The beasts of the Negeb, meaning beasts of the South, is a reference to the burden born by the camels and donkeys, who carried the heavy load of treasures that were being taken south to Egypt.

Isaiah describes the journey as being full of dangers with lions young and old, adders or poisonous snakes, and flying fiery serpents which is a reference to snakes that hang from trees and dangle or jump from limb to limb or onto their prey.

The journey is expensive, it is costly, it represents a tremendous investment of the treasures of Judah, is extremely dangerous and comes with many dangers along the way.

And the end result is always total failure.

The principle of course is that by comparison, God is free, and success is certain and safe.

Anything else is a task that totally throws away one’s life.

Turn to the world and you lose.

Turn to God through Christ, through a daily study of Bible doctrine, while in fellowship, and not only success, but the fulfillment and completion of your life, is guaranteed.

These studies are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org, and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so already, and therefore not be lost forever.

And if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal eternal reward which you will have forever.

To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.

The Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to complete yourself beyond your imagination.

But you have to decide to make that commitment.  No one else can study for you.  You have to do that yourself.
