Isaiah 29:19

Isaiah 29:19

19 The meek [`anav] also shall increase [yacaph] their joy [simchah] in the LORD [Y@hovah], and the poor ['ebyown] among men ['adam] shall rejoice [giyl] in the Holy One [qadowsh] of Israel [Yisra'el].   KJV-Interlinear

19 The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the LORD, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.   ESV

The term, meek, does not refer to wimpy and small people.  Meek, ‘anav,’ refers to those who are patient in the face of injuries.  It refers to the oppressed, to the afflicted.  And in the spiritual realm, it refers to those who are the target of evil, which is the policy of Satan.  The meek refers to all Christians.

Satan is selfishly aggressive in destroying all Christians.  Christians are not selfishly aggressive in destroying anyone.

The poor, likewise has a special meaning.  Poor, ‘ebyown,’ refers to those who incur loss due to oppression, to affliction, to the deceit and wickedness of others.  The poor refers to all believers in Christ, all Christians.

The world was made for the people of God.  Christians are the people of God.

All who have rejected Christ, whom we call unbelievers, are not the people of God, and they were never given anything in the world, yet they take as they presume that anything they have or can get, belongs to them.  This is a staunch rejection of God, of Christ, of Gods plan, of Gods intentions and provisions for His people.  So they take what they do not deserve and have no right to take.

So, anything that unbelievers have is a theft from Christians, thus Christians are called poor, symbolically, since they have lost things, as it were.

Obviously any unbeliever can believe in Christ and then become a part of Gods family and therefore no longer be a thief, so to speak.  But defiant unbelief keeps them out of Gods family.  This is something that they do themselves.  God does not kick them out nor keep them out.  The door is open to everyone who is willing to have that simple little thought of believing in Christ.

And refusing to believe, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, month by month, year after year for decades, seems to take quite an effort in refusing to believe.  So who do unbelievers have to blame?  Themselves.

But, history will end for everyone sooner or later.  We are all called out of this world and the world itself will end one day.  Then all unbelievers will be removed forever, and all believers will enjoy phenomenal joy and prosperity and happiness as never before, and forever.

And, if you have been following along in the study, all believers who have advanced in their spiritual life, by way of their daily studies, will have even greater joy and blessings and so forth.

Christians will have infinitely greater blessings than unbelievers.

Spiritually mature believers, will have infinitely greater blessings than immature believers.

Your objective in life, is to study and learn through instruction, to grow up and advance in your spiritual life to maturity, and therefore qualify for the greater blessings that are reserved for mature believers.

Unbelievers make daily decisions or refuse to make a single decision, and they will lose everything.

Immature believers make daily decisions or they refuse to make the decisions to advance in their spiritual life and they will lose greater blessings.

Why would anyone do that?

Before you were born into this world, you had no say as to the circumstances of your life.

When you are born again, which is becoming a Christian, then you have every opportunity to advance in your spiritual life and in effect design a phenomenal eternity for yourself.  Can anyone pass up that opportunity?

Well, by doing nothing, they can loss out.  Or, by pursuing a daily study, they can succeed beyond their imagination.

So, which is it for you?
