And Paul makes it very clear that this faith of
Abrahams, and the resulting salvation, was not just for him, but is the pattern
by which we all have been saved.
Adam was saved in this manner, and every person in
every generation who has believed in Christ, and every person in the future who
will believe in Christ, will be saved in the same fashion.
And all who believe, are credited with Gods
righteousness.
As far as that goes, there are many blessings that we receive
at the moment of our salvation, but for now, if you have believed in Christ,
then at that first moment of your faith, you received and you now possess, Gods
righteousness by virtue of your faith in Christ.
That is imputed into you and is a permanent part of
your essence. You cannot get rid of
it. No one can take it from you. You cannot lose it.
Once saved, always saved. You cannot un-save yourself.
