Psalm 37:15
15 Their sword [chereb] shall
enter [bow'] into their own heart [leb], and their bows [qesheth]
shall be broken [shabar]. KJV-Interlinear
15 their sword shall enter their own heart, and
their bows shall be broken. ESV
The sword
represents the action of the individual.
And here the actions of the wicked, will fail. And not only fail, but their efforts will
fall upon themselves, and not their intended victims. Remember that the wicked, includes everyone
who does not comply with Gods mandates or will.
This includes all
unbelievers due to their rejection of Jesus Christ.
This includes all
believers who live outside of the spiritual realm, namely out of fellowship.
The bow,
represents the plan and will of the individual.
The bow is an
offensive or proactive weapon. The
individual who carries the bow, intends to use it and takes it with them, for a
specific purpose.
And as the context
of this passage is wickedness, then the bow is not merely there for defense or
just in case, it is carried because of a thought out plan or intent.
Nevertheless, the
plan, as are all plans of man, will be broken, destroyed, failed miserably.
God is truth.
Any deviation from
God is not truth, and therefore a lie.
Truth is
orientation to reality.
Lies are
disorientation to reality.
Rejection of God,
Christ, and doctrine are the ultimate disorientation in life.
