Isaiah
29:13
13 Wherefore the Lord ['Adonay] said ['amar], Forasmuch [ya`an] as this people [`am] draw
near [nagash] me with their mouth [peh], and with their lips [saphah] do honour [kabad] me, but have removed [rachaq] their heart [leb] far [rachaq] from me, and their fear [yir'ah] toward me is taught [lamad]

13 And the Lord said: “Because
this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while
their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by
men, ESV
As the case is too often, people talk the talk, but do
not have any truth in their soul. Their
soul is empty and their spiritual life is a fraud. And they lack truth because they do not want
to follow Gods mandated process for the spiritual life, namely sitting down in
silence and being taught Bible doctrine.
It is much more fun to write opinions and sing songs and say things for
the ears of people.
While Bible study is boring, to them.
And this is what is coming.
Disaster, discipline, judgment.
Fear or respect does not come from the content of the scriptures,
but from the opinions of man.
And what is man’s opinion made up of?
Religions, philosophies, social acceptance, popular
beliefs, politics, personal feelings, good intentions, phony rhetoric, and all
of these things are false, or lead to false conclusions.
Never before in history has there been an internet
that can bring Bible study to literally everyone in the entire world, right
into the palm of their hand or to their computer screen. And yet people still do not get it.
Bible study is a commitment to a study, a daily study,
a situation whereby people can learn, if they set their own opinions aside, and
listen and learn.
But too, there has never before been the distractions
of the internet, designed to keep everyone comfortable in their own opinions,
and compromised in the many beliefs of the world, and over opinionated and over
rated about themselves. And thus missing
out on the phenomenal blessing that God has waiting for them. Instead they have loss and misery and major disappointment
just ahead. And they are racing toward it, willingly.
And as we continue through this study in Isaiah, you
will see, if you stick with the study, that the doors of spiritual opportunity
are closing rapidly and the doors of disaster are opening for the world. And you are doing it all yourself.
Not today, and not tomorrow, but in Gods own time,
your life will come up against huge obstacles and you will be lost. And you will cry crocodile tears, and cry,
why me? But, it is all your fault,
because you ignore learning Bible doctrine.
Human history will come up against huge obstacles and
it too will be lost sooner or later.
Refusing to commit to Gods word is the general direction
of the world. You can either ride along
with the world, because riding with the world is the same as doing nothing,
except talking the talk.
Or you can get off that false path, and get on Gods
path and pursue with a genuine passion, the instruction of that which God wants
you to learn. Namely, learning Bible doctrine
from instruction, day after day after day, every day of your life.
But for most people, that is a tedious task.
Doing nothing, is so much easier. Then again, doing nothing is the pattern of
the world, and that will lead you to an unfulfilled empty life. Your choice, your decision, your destiny or
lack thereof.
If you think you know it all, then you really don’t
know anything.
