Isaiah
31:6
6 Turn [shuwb] ye unto him from

6 Turn to him from whom people have deeply
revolted, O children of Israel. ESV
Just as people
intensely disregard the real things that are expected of them, and intensely
pursue their own invented beliefs, defining their own way through life, by
means of their own wisdom, so too, Isaiah here is inviting everyone to use that
same intensity, to obey Gods mandates, and to follow Gods design for the
spiritual life.
People say all of
the right words, for the public ear, but they do not do the right things. Their
words and their actions do not match.
Unbelievers,
pursue religions that are totally false. And, they pursue those religions with
intense faith and support, and sincerity, and sometimes to the point of
fanaticism. And it is all for nothing because it is all false.
Believers in
Christ, pursue philosophies and beliefs that are contrary to the teachings that
are in the Bible, to the point of even inventing their own standards of right
and wrong, even to the point of prejudice or bias against those who don’t abide
by their invented standards, which in itself is a contradiction.
And with great
intensity, these wrong paths are pursued.
And then of course,
there are those who are defiant against truth, and even against religion, as
they pursue, no belief philosophies, or criminal activities, or whatever
beliefs they have invented for themselves, seeing themselves as rebels, or free
spirits, against things that they call, controlling, or the establishment.
But, as we have
already seen, there are only two true rulers in existence. One is the sin
nature, and the second is truth.
There is no third
choice.
And if you reject
truth, you are by default, a slave without freedom or rights, to the sin
nature.
And oddly enough,
by pursuing anything or everything that is against truth, you are not racing to
your freedom, but you are racing toward the edge of a cliff, over which there
is no return.
If however, with a
whole lot less work, by merely engaging in a daily Bible study, and therefore
learning and growing up in your spiritual life, you are not subordinating
yourself to misery, but in fact are receiving the greatest freedom in free
thinking, which is based on true reality, resulting in phenomenal innovation
and happiness and fulfillment, not to mention the completion of one’s own
meaning and purpose in life.
But then, who
wants to be special and complete and fulfilled, when you can do nothing, and be
nothing and miserable and empty?
These

And
if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you
can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come

purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal
eternal reward which you will have forever.
To
ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete,
unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.
