Isaiah
31:2
2 Yet he also is wise [chakam], and will bring [bow'] evil [ra`], and will not
call back [cuwr] his words [dabar]: but will arise [quwm] against the house [bayith] of the evildoers [ra`a`], and against the help [`ezrah] of them that work [pa`al] iniquity ['aven]. KJV-Interlinear
2 And yet he is wise and brings disaster; he
does not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers
and against the helpers of those who work iniquity. ESV
And while people
think they are smart and wise, and even boast of their beliefs, even to the
point of belligerently attacking others, Isaiah points out that God too, is
wise.
And not only is
God wise, but His wisdom is truth, and accurate with respect to reality, while
mans wisdom is supported only by arrogance.
Mans wisdom, is
more often the product of hidden plans or secret contrivances, based on either
arrogance, invention by imagination, lust for power, or some hate based motivation
for revenge on others.
Mans wisdom,
originates from people that have only been alive on this earth for a handful of
decades, within any given generation.
Gods wisdom, spans
not only the history of creation, but also beyond space and time outside of
creation.
And while man is
only capable of originating evil, God is capable of executing judgment against
that evil.
God will not and
cannot call back His words, because Gods words are truth, and truth never
changes.
Mans words are not
based on truth, and therefore are subject to perpetual change, depending on the
circumstances of the moment.
Inevitably the
production of man is nothing more than iniquity, in an evil driven world, from
which no good will come.
Gods work counters
all evil, and results in righteous judgment against all that is corrupt.
When the end
finally comes, truth alone will stand.
Therefore, it is
better to side with truth and stand, rather than get swept away in the
delusions of evil.
And of course, to
stand with truth, one has to learn Bible doctrine and function within their
spiritual life. And that comes only by means of a daily Bible study.
