Ephesians 3:14

14 For this [toutou] cause [charin] I bow [kampto] my [mou] knees [gonu] unto [pros] the Father [pater] of our [hemon] Lord [kurios] Jesus [Iesous] Christ, [Christos]KJV-Interlinear

14 For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, NASB

For this cause, is a restatement from verse one, but takes into account all that has been said throughout this chapter, and means, because of this, or, because of these things.

This is a reference to the fact that salvation belongs to everyone, not just to the Jewish people.  That there are phenomenal blessings available to everyone who advances in their spiritual life.  That there is a divine plan, a single plan, that has been unfolding throughout history.  That even the angels are learning of God and of Gods plan and grace as a result of our human history.  That life is full of ordeals and problems and pressures and burdens, all of which are designed to gain your attention, to help teach and train you in grace and orientation to life and reality.  That God has a unique plan for each individual to bring them from the speck of dust that we all are, and provide for a means of advancing us to a completion, meaning and purpose, beyond our imaginations.

Because of these things and far, far more, Paul and certainly you and I, should be falling on our faces, on our knees, on our humility, in prayer and in thanks, because God has taken us from non-existence, to a point that defies imagination and beyond.

All prayer is directed to the Father, and never to anyone else.  God the Father is the target of all legitimate prayer.

God the Father is the single highest deity, and since the reference is made of the Lord Jesus Christ, this points to the divine plan, the single plan, the one and only plan of God.

There are three members of the Trinity, namely the Father, the Son and the Spirit.  All three are co-equal, co-eternal, and co-infinite.  All three members possess the same identical essence.  There is no character difference between any of them.  They are all identical.

Their designation as Father, Son and Spirit, is for our benefit and for the execution of their plan, such that mans arrogance cannot be used as a means of approach to the Father.  Thus the Son took on that title, in order to condemn and to counter arrogance.

Arrogance seeks to go straight to the top and make the top an equal.  Satan wanted to be like the most high.  Man in arrogance and religion, seeks equality with God.  But God placed the Son in between so as to counter arrogance and to recognize Gods policy of grace and truth.  Arrogance rejects that ‘in between’ person and recognizes only itself.

So, God has a phenomenal plan, and we are the beneficiaries of something that was thought up eons ago. As far as our existence goes, all of humanity was born simultaneously into Gods plan, just as the angels were born simultaneously in their creation.  We have different ages now, only because God released each one of us into history along the way at different points in history.

But, Gods plan for each one of us began when the plan was decreed.  Our physical life began at birth certainly, but at some point in eternity past, our life began in Gods mind, and that alone is a phenomenal guarantee of a great future, which none of us can even begin to imagine or comprehend.
