Romans 6:8

8 Now if we have died with
Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. ESV
God is logical and rational, and does things in
accordance with a plan. He never does things frivolously or aimlessly.
Since eternity past, when God laid out the divine
decrees, His entire divine plan was established, and has never changed.
The symbolism of our dying with Christ through the
symbolism of the baptism, as well as the realism of the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit when we were saved, continues on with the symbolism of the resurrection,
just as Christ was resurrected.
As Jesus Christ performed a work, then He performed it
completely and not haphazardly.
Therefore, since we are identified with Him in His
work on the cross, then we are also identified with Him in His resurrection.
Salvation is not half a work, it is a whole work. We are identified with Christ in all that He
did, not just in a portion.
And in Christ, we are not only identified with Him in His
death, burial, and resurrection, we will with a certainty, be completely and
totally separated from sin and death, and we will enjoy a resurrection and
eternal life.
