Romans 6:5

Romans 6:5

5 For [gar] if [ei] we have been [ginomai] planted together [sumphutos] in the likeness [homoioma] of his [autos] death [thanatos], we shall be [esomai] also [alla] [kai] in the likeness of his resurrection [anastasis]:  KJV-Interlinear

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.  ESV

The word for planted together, sumphutos, means to be sown or planted at the same time. The crop that is planted at the same time, it sprouts together, and it grows together just like a field of grain, and it all occurs simultaneously. This means that we are intimately connected or joined together, with regard to being dead to sin.

Likewise, since we are joined together with Christ in death, and since He has been resurrected, then our joining means that we too will be resurrected.

For just as He arose from the dead in resurrection, so too we will arise in resurrection.

He arose at His appointed time, and so too we will be resurrected at our appointed time.

There are two important points here.

First, we as believers in Christ are united with Him. We are in union with Him.

That means wherever Christ goes, we too shall go.

Therefore, since Christ arose in resurrection, so too we will be resurrected.

Being resurrected, there is no place that Christ can go now, that we cannot also go. We are forever united with Him. And that is another principle of eternal security.

Once saved always saved.

You cannot un-save yourself. You cannot un-reborn yourself. You cannot un-unite yourself.

Since God has established a bond between Himself and us, there is no power, or circumstance, or situation in this universe, there is nothing that can break that bond.

These studies, are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org, that is easily accessible, and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so already, and therefore not be lost forever.

And if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal eternal reward which you will have forever.

To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.

The Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to complete yourself beyond your imagination.

But you have to decide to make that commitment.  No one else can study for you.  You have to do that yourself.
