Isaiah 32:6

Isaiah 32:6

6 For the vile person [nabal] will speak [dabar] villany [nabalah], and his heart [leb] will work [`asah] iniquity ['aven], to practise [`asah] hypocrisy [choneph], and to utter [dabar] error [tow`ah] against the LORD [Yahovah], to make empty [ruwq] the soul [nephesh] of the hungry [ra`eb], and he will cause the drink [mashqeh] of the thirsty [tsame'] to fail [chacer].   KJV-Interlinear

6 For the fool speaks folly, and his heart is busy with iniquity, to practice ungodliness, to utter error concerning the LORD, to leave the craving of the hungry unsatisfied, and to deprive the thirsty of drink. ESV

The vile person, refers to someone who is destitute of understanding, a dishonest person. He speaks folly and falsely. He is superficial, plays favorites, and is biased and unjust in his conduct.

The gist of everything that he does and says, contradicts, and is in direct contrast with truth. He appeals to flattery and makes false promises.

He will withhold truth and disregard and distort facts and reality, and in so doing prevents truth from reaching the general population.

In this verse, the general population wants and seeks truth, but is prevented because of the misleading statements and philosophies that are promoted by vile people, and the vile views that are promoted throughout society.

If a person is running toward a cliff, they will not be told that they are running toward a cliff, for fear of insulting them.

If a person is worshiping a false religion, they will not be told that the religion is false, for fear of insulting that religion.

And so goes the general philosophical and political views of society, that become so prevalent, and are accepted as proper, because no one stands up to challenge them.

And thus those that crave or hunger or thirst for truth, are faced with these false views of society that act as barriers, that prevent truth from getting through. Thus the superficial and false views of society serve as deterrents and barriers that prevent people from seeing and understanding what is truth and what is false.

And all false views, no matter how simple or exaggerated, are anti-truth, and sins against God.

And likewise, just as in the previous verse, these false philosophies and practices will vanish, when the Lord establishes His kingdom at second advent.
