Psalm 37:8

Copyright Ó 2015 J. Neely
Psalm 37:8

8 Cease [raphah] from anger ['aph], and forsake [`azab] wrath [chemah]: fret [charah] not thyself in any wise ['ak] to do evil [ra`a`].   KJV-Interlinear

8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.   ESV

It is easy to be caught up in frustration, because of this world, and then to react to the many difficulties that do and will exist.

The world was created perfect and restored to perfection, but it is Satan’s and mans effort that keeps driving it back to chaos and trouble.  The world is not perfect and never will be, so long as evil is prevalent.  And evil will always be here because of the sin nature and free will of man, to keep it that way.

But man will never be perfect, from his own effort, and so the world will never be perfect, but full of troubles, and so the end that is prophesied, is certain.  And not because anyone wants it that way, but because the vast majority will never change to and comply with, Gods plan.

And so your life will be full of difficulties of one sort or another.

And when combined with seeing wicked people seemingly getting away with their wickedness and even prospering, that all the more makes it difficult to keep from getting angry and hateful over your own circumstances.

But remember one important thing. God has a plan.  God controls history.

And often times His control allows the ways of man to continue in whatever direction they choose.

But sooner or later, those ways, evil as they are, will come to a crashing end.

The ultimate and supreme direction of history belongs to God.  Jesus Christ controls history.

Evil will one day cease.  It always does.  Look at all of the evil people of history, they are gone and they all failed and lost.  Not one succeeded and is here today.

This life is a testing and training ground for you, making your destiny even greater.

Evil promotes evil and gains nothing.

You simply have to endure, because your destiny beyond imagination, is certain.
