Psalm 18:33

33 He maketh [shavah] my feet [regel] like hinds ['ayalah]' feet, and setteth [`amad] me upon my high places. [bamah] KJV-Interlinear

33 He makes my feet like hinds' feet, And sets me upon my high places.  NASB

Hinds feet are those of a female deer, which is known for swiftness, agility and endurance in long runs.

This is also a military term with the same connotation of swiftness for either escaping quickly, or in advancing with swiftness upon an enemy.

High places, is a reference to places of safety.  It is a place where one can observe all around.  It is a place that is easily defended. It is a place of security.

Bible doctrine is the highest place that exists in life, for it is the ultimate place of safety, defense, and orientation to life and reality.

He, is a reference to God.

Therefore, it is not your natural ability, not your natural intuition, not your superior intellect, nothing of yours that makes you quick and agile and in the know about things of life.

God makes these things possible through doctrine.

Apart from God, you cannot know anything.  With Doctrine, you can know just about anything within the means that God gave you for this life.

To some God gives much, to some God gives little.  To everyone, God gives that which is necessary to advance to spiritual maturity and beyond.  Your spiritual advancement is paramount.  Your earthly attributes are irrelevant.

Your earthly abilities and talents, and status, are all God given for the benefit of you, for the benefit of others, for every integral aspect of Gods plan.

Gods plan is for eternity.  Your pleasures and benefits are by-products, if you will, which are all derived from Gods grace gifts to you.  You can use them properly, or you can abuse them with disrespect to Gods grace provision.

Nonetheless, all that you have and are, are courtesy of God.

Bible doctrine is the ultimate enhancement agent of whatever it is that God has given you.  Without doctrine, you are nothing more than a fleeting shadow skirting along in the world, and then you are gone.
