Psalm 18:30

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 18:30

30 As for God, ['el] his way [derek] is perfect: [tamiym] the word ['imrah] of the LORD [Yahovah] is tried: [tsaraph] he is a buckler [magen] to all those that trust [chacah] in him. KJV-Interlinear

30 As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. NASB

God evaluates and treats all people based on His own character and essence.

God is perfect.

All of the blessings and fair treatments and judgments that are applied to those who are good and to those who are bad, are good and fair and correct.

Gods way is perfect.  His life is perfect.  His character is perfect.  His policies are perfect.  His methods are perfect.  His plan is perfect.  All that God is and does is perfect.

There is nothing lacking, nothing compromised, nothing tainted with respect to God.

His methods and policies and actions, and principles, and mandates and demanded obligations, are all fair and proper and perfect.  There is nothing unfair, nothing deficient, nothing biased in any aspect of God.

While the world, with its many invented gods or deities that all have defects or shortcomings or problems integrated within their character, God, who is true and the only real God, has none of these shortcomings.

All that God is and all that He does, has been tested and tested, time and again.

God and doctrine have been challenged throughout history and have never failed. Only attempts that incorporate lies and mis-characterizations are used to imply falsities in doctrine and God, but those fail simply because they are false.

No fair and accurate and honest attack can be made against God or doctrine, because there is no defect, no wrong, no contradiction in God or doctrine.

Because God is truth, because God is real power, because God is fair, because God is faithful and more, then He is the only real protection for those who take up positions behind His shield.

Doctrine, not self-righteousness, is the shield.  Doctrine not sincerity, is the position of safety.  Doctrine not human intention, is the correct moral and standard principles by which we must live.

Doctrine is the content, the principle, the mandate, the standard which must be learned, in order to be used in ones life.

If you do not study it, you cannot learn it.  If you do not know doctrine, then all that you think that you know, is a false safety net, in which you have no protection.

Trust in God, comes with knowledge.  Trust is not blind, not luck, not gained by chance, and is certainly not accidental.  God is well organized and so is His plan for your life.  Your trust in God must be founded and constructed with knowledge, and specifically, knowledge of Bible doctrine.
