Isaiah 6:3

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Isaiah 6:3

3 And one cried [qara'] unto another, and said, ['amar] Holy, [qadowsh] holy, [qadowsh] holy, [qadowsh] is the LORD [Yahovah] of hosts: [tsaba'] the whole earth ['erets] is full [malo'] of his glory. [kabowd] KJV-Interlinear

3 And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts,, The whole earth is full of His glory." NASB

The Seraphim sing out the glories to the Lord, Jesus Christ. They triple the phrase, possibly in recognition of the Trinity, but more likely since the Lord only is in view here, to His phenomenal perfection. Thus the tripling of the phrase, Holy, Holy, Holy. Gods glory appears in the Throne room, not mans glory, and not angel glory. Men and angels have no inherent glory to speak of. They only have the glory which God grants each person. All glory comes from God and from no other source.

Glory of course being the great honor, or praise, or distinction given by, or earned by, or naturally inherent within, the person and character of God.

Holiness is made up of the combination of Gods righteousness, and Gods justice. Righteousness is the absolute perfection of God, without blemish, without flaws, without sin of course, and justice is the perfect cleansing away of all the filth, or sin, or human righteousness from anyone before they can approach God.

Righteousness is the perfection of God.  Justice is the work of Christ on the Cross making it possible for God to make man perfect.

The tripling of a thing gives enhanced emphasis on that thing, such as in the saying, ‘Oh my. Oh my. Oh my.’  Other examples in the scriptures can be found in these passages, Jer 7:4 ‘temple, temple, temple,’ Jer 22:29 ‘earth, earth, earth,’ Ezek 21:27 ‘overturn, overturn, overturn,’ 2 Sam 18:33 ‘my son, my son, my son,’ Num 6:24-26 ‘Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah.’  The tripling gives added emphasis and purpose to the words.

The Lord is the commander of 'hosts,' or many categories of creatures. This would include the many different people from planet earth, and the many different classes of angels. Each group numbering into the many billions if not trillions, and as far as angels go their numbers are never mentioned except that they are like the stars in the heavens. Today we know that there are trillions of galaxies and trillions of stars within each galaxy. So the numbers of angels is probably in the trillions of trillions of trillions plus. That should be classified as a very large number, I think. And all (except the fallen angels of course) voluntarily acknowledge Christ as Lord and God and the sovereign ruler.

The whole earth is full of Gods glory, always has been and always will be. Despite the attempts by those who reject God, who reject His work and evidence of His presence. The truth of God can never be wished away, nor reinvented or replaced by some other type philosophy or belief or religion. All other religions, beliefs, or philosophies on this earth, which are contrary to that which is taught in the Bible, are false, they are frauds, and they are nothing more than traps for destroying any who subscribe to them.

There is no place where you can go, no place where you can turn that you will not see some evidence of Gods handiwork. There is no one on this earth nor in all of history who hasn't come to know of, or hear of, the Lord. No one has any excuse.

The Lord created al things, and the world is completely full of things that have been created.  From the smallest of atoms and its components, to the largest of mountains, Christs’ signature is on all things one way or another.
