Isaiah 5:6

Isaiah 5:6

6 And I will lay [shiyth] it waste: [bathah] it shall not be pruned, [zamar] nor digged; [`adar] but there shall come up [`alah] briers [shamiyr] and thorns: [shayith] I will also command [tsavah] the clouds [`ab] that they rain [matar] no rain [matar] upon it. KJV-Interlinear

6 "And I will lay it waste; It will not be pruned or hoed, But briars and thorns will come up. I will also charge the clouds to rain no rain on it." NASB

We saw in the last verse, that all defense and protection is withdrawn when God finally lowers the boom on wicked and evil people.  Those types of people include everyone who is anti-God, anti-truth, anti-doctrine, and prefer their own version of truth while they reject Gods truth.  This could even include you.

To lay to waste, ‘bathah,’ means to break into pieces, desolation, no life.

There will be no more pruning, no more digging or cultivating, no activity that serves to correct or protect or promote productivity.

And this is a very good description of how the Tribulation is going to end.

Remember that the Tribulation, is the seven year period, or the final seven years of the Age of Israel, which is the dispensation that our current dispensation interrupted back at the time of the Cross.  Our interruption has been continuing for about 1,982 years and counting.  When our dispensation comes to an end at the Rapture, then those final seven years will be allowed to resume. Those will be the final seven years of evil and wickedness and this is how it is all going to end.

God will withdraw His protection, and people will be left without any, repeat, without any protection whatsoever.  The insurance industry, criminal activity, legal court processes, law enforcement, even social norms and standards will all turn against society worldwide.  And the world will be broken into pieces and destroyed.  The horrors and suffering in that age, will be beyond comparison to anything that has ever occurred prior to that time.

Command of the clouds, further explains that God Himself, will turn His power against evil.

Farmers and weathermen cannot control the clouds.  No one can.

God is speaking in this verse and herein describes that He alone is the sovereign over all aspects of life.  He alone causes the rain to fall or not fall, and when those final days of judgment arrive, then even the natural weather events of this world, will obey Gods command.  And the natural forces that we all see in our day to day life, will be so dramatic, that all of the world will not be able to fail in seeing Gods hand in it all.

And why?  Because everyone's final determination of life or death, of heaven or the lake of fire, will be determined and after it is all over, there will be no one with any excuse for their decisions in rejecting God.

Life is a serious matter.  Your future is a serious matter.  Those who reject an education, fail in life in general, due to their decisions.  But in the spiritual life, poor decisions will have repercussions that will last forever.
