Isaiah 5:5

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Isaiah 5:5

5 And now go to; I will tell [yada`] you what I will do [`asah] to my vineyard: [kerem] I will take away [cuwr] the hedge [masuwkah] thereof, and it shall be eaten up; [ba`ar] and break down [parats] the wall [gader] thereof, and it shall be trodden down: [mirmac] KJV-Interlinear

5 "So now let Me tell you what I am going to do to My vineyard: I will remove its hedge and it will be consumed; I will break down its wall and it will become trampled ground.  NASB

And now, ‘naa,’ simply means, and now listen to what is going to be said right now.  It calls attention to the finality of what is about to be said and then done.  And now!

Since God has made every preparation, has given every advantage, has made every opportunity available to everyone, but has been ignored and rejected, then there are repercussions for that attitude of indifference toward truth.

This world is populated by over seven billion people in or current day. In about thirty to forty years that number will double  and in another thirty or forty years that number will double again, with a doubling of the worlds population occurring in shorter and shorter time spans as this century and the next advance along.

Sooner or later the world will reach a breaking point with respect to mans own ability to care for himself.  Then what?

Well, the prophecies from the Old Testament, especially in Isaiah, will come true.  People will not turn to God, but away from God.  The world will turn to an extreme apostasy and then Gods time table will end it all.

The hedge, which was Gods protection, will come to an end.  Gods protection will be withdrawn.  The wall is another layer of protection, and that too will be withdrawn.

In other words, the unbelieving world, the unbelieving Jews will be left defenseless.  By rejecting God and truth and doctrine, which is all one and the same, then the repercussions of turning to ones own self, will be demonstrated as totally useless and futile.

Man cannot fend for himself.  It is God, not man, who supports and sustains life in every respect on this planet.  And yet people ignore the realities of life, do not even begin to learn the principles that the Bible teaches, spend their time socializing with empty social activities, or spend their time with empty activities of all sorts, inventing their own versions of truth, living by sincerity or emotion, or self-justification of whatever it is that they believe with beliefs that are stubbornly detached from the facts of truth and reality.

And so, the delusion is allowed to continue, because people prefer their delusions over truth.  They do not want to be taught.  They do not want to read the Bible.  They do not want to be instructed, and so forth.  Things that God mandates as the principle portion of their spiritual lives.

God is patient, but God does not wait forever.  Sooner or later the persons life will end and the reality of their failures will be discovered too late.  Sooner or later human history will come to an end, and all will learn the truth of their failures, but too late.

You have an opportunity now, to get straight and learn truth and to succeed in life.  But will you?
