Psalm 11:2
2 For, lo, the wicked [rasha`] bend [darak] their bow, [qesheth] they make ready [kuwn] their arrow [chets] upon the string, [yether] that they may privily ['ophel] [bamow] shoot [yarah] at the upright [yashar] in heart. [leb] KJV-Interlinear
2 For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart. NASB
The wicked is a reference to anyone who lacks truth in their soul, to anyone who persistently lives outside of the fellowship sphere. This includes all unbelievers by default and all believers who in effect imitate unbelievers by virtue of their life out of fellowship.
Anyone who does not live their life in fellowship, by default lives their life in darkness.
Anyone who lives their life as the wicked do, living in darkness, living outside of truth, living in the carnal and temporal world, can possess only arguments of untruth. Or lies in effect.
Their words are not wisdom but are words of deceit, since they do not reflect truth. If the wicked happens to speak some principles of truth, then it is through their academic knowledge, or learned at some time in their life through exposure to truth in some fashion. But their words carry no weight in truth, as they do not live in fellowship (do not live in truth).
Their words are the shooting of arrows. Their opinions carry no weight in truth, and are therefore only useful for sabotage of anyone who would be a willing listener. So also are their thoughts (from where their words originate) and their actions (from whence their intentions are driven).
False opinions originate from false beliefs. False beliefs originate from the rejection of truth.
Truth is the ability to see reality, therefore one can see in the light. The false is the inability to see reality, thus blinded by the darkness or inability to see clearly, the inability to discern correctly.
The wicked cannot bring other wicked into the darkness of their lives, they are already there. They can only recruit the upright, the believer who lives their life in fellowship, into their realm. And that only occurs when the spiritually positive believer slips into some sort of negative attitude toward doctrine.
Thus the soul of the wicked is loaded with the ammunition of the false. Their life is in the darkness of untruth, and that is where they launch their life.
The wicked is not the heir of anything. Unbelievers have no good future, negative believers have no reward.
Therefore their struggle in life is to secure that which belongs to the faithful believer, to whom all things rightfully belong.
In order to gain anything, then in effect, the wicked must remove the upright from the scene.
