Psalm 17:11
11 They have now compassed [cabab] us in our steps: ['ashur]
they have set [shiyth] their eyes [`ayin] bowing down [natah] to the

11 They
have now surrounded us in our steps; They set their eyes to cast us down to the
ground. NASB
They, are the wicked of
the earth. The wicked includes all
people who live their life in opposition to God, Christ, and truth. They live by means of their own design, by
means of their own invented direction.
When anyone rejects
truth, then their beliefs are based only on something that they themselves have
invented or adopted from others who are similar in thought.
And thus compassed about,
means just that. The world is saturated
with wickedness and wicked people. Any
believer on the planet is surrounded by evil on all sides.
They, the wicked, have
set their eyes. This is the intent, the
pursuit, the priority of evil. They do
not stumble into evil accidently, but pursue it intentionally. All rejection of truth is by choice. All
wickedness is by choice, conscious choice.
Anyone who defines their own path through life, rejecting Gods path, or
substituting their own path even if they convince themselves that their choice
is Gods path, when it is not, are in fact wicked people.
Set their eyes, is again
the conscious choice or people. They
make their choices with full knowledge of their rejection of truth, even if
they replace truth with their own version.
They reject truth and then convince themselves that their beliefs are
truth, which they are not.
Most folks reject Gods
plan. Most folks reject Gods mandate to
study daily. Most folks reject Gods
mandate to confess their sins on a regular basis. Most folks fail as a result. They never come to an understanding of what
life and reality are all about. They
substitute music or gimmicks or emotion in place of substantive study of
knowledge.
Bowing down to the earth
comes from the hunter that looks down at his prey. But the hunter is the predator, and the
predator is the wicked person and the wicked person is in fact nothing more
than a person seeking to destroy anything and anyone who gets in his way. Truth is in the way of evil, for evil cannot
exist unless truth is pushed out of the way.
Evil has no rights
whatsoever. Evil, desires to be like the
most high. Satan's pursuit. However, evil, has no real ability, no real
power, no real authority, no sovereignty whatsoever over anything, and thus
evil seeks to rule over that which it cannot rule, seeks to possess that which
it cannot possess, seeks to define its own destiny separate and apart from God
and truth, which is cannot.
Collect two piles of dust
and determine which is the better, which is the more qualified, which should
lead the universe. Dust on its own can
do nothing. Dust that is convinced that
it can accomplish anything, is nothing more than stupid dust.
Only truth has real and
genuine power, and ability and sovereignty, and only truth comes from doctrine.
Anyone who does not study
doctrine, will never learn it. Anyone who
does not humble themselves to the instruction of truth, will never get past
their own arrogance, and thus they will fail.
But then they fail because of their own choice, their own conscious
choice. They have only themselves to
blame. Don’t be stupid dust.
