Revelation 21:6

6 And [kai] he said [epo] unto me, [moi] It is done. [ginomai] I [ego] am [eimi] Alpha [a] and [kai] Omega, [omega] the beginning [arche] and [kai] the end. [telos] I [ego] will give [didomi] unto him that is athirst [dipsao] of [ek] the fountain [pege] of the water [hudor] of life [zoe] freely. [dorean] KJV-Interlinear

6 And He said to me, ‘It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.   NASB

Most people in life, look around at their environment, and that is all that they see.  They see nature, and society, they see the politics of the day, and crusades for this cause or that.  They see the good and the bad of life, but most of their existence is affected by the opinions that swirl around them.

On those opinions, they base their beliefs, which will either make or break their entire life.

6 ‘Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.    NASB

The only opinion that matters, is Gods.  Your opinions don’t mean squat!
The worlds opinions do not mean squat.

God started history, and God will end it.  We can either learn what history is all about, and conform our life to it, or we can reject the truth of history, and try to define life on our own, or follow someone else's definition.

Which, source do you suppose will prove true?

There is only one faith, Christianity, or the belief in Jesus Christ, or the belief in the one and only Son of God.  This has been true since eternity past, true since the time of Adam, it is true even now, and will always be the truth forever.

All other beliefs, reject Christ either altogether or in some form.  So it is very easy to sort out the religions, beliefs, the theories, and philosophies of the world to see which are true and which are not, because they are all false.

John is fast approaching the end of his book of Revelation.  This is the last of the books written for our Bible.

The one sitting on the throne, Jesus Christ, makes a clear statement, ‘It is done.’

When He completed His work on the Cross, Christ said, ‘It is finished.’  That was with respect to the historical work, which He had just completed for salvation.  That work of salvation was promised in the past, in eternity past, and is now accomplished.

Here John writes a little different description of a completed action.  ‘It is done,’ for now refers to the writing and disclosure of the divine plan for all to read and know.

The plan was written in the divine decrees in eternity past, and history is fast approaching the day when all evil, all enemies of God, and finally the last of the enemies, death, are disposed of, permanently.

Though there are people out in the world who are trying to make their own history, from politicians, to tyrants, to the everyday Joe and Jane, none of their own plans will succeed. All of the would-be world leaders of the past are dead.  Their plans failed.  All of the would-be philosophers of the past are dead.  Their plans failed.  All of the generations from millennia and centuries past are dead.  All of their self-defined or self-designed plans have failed.

Only the plans, which God has laid out since eternity past, are still in force and they are the only plans, which will succeed.

God, Christ, doctrine, and ones spiritual life are an inseparable package of truths. You cannot pick and choose the truths of life, which you like.

Ignoring God, ignoring Christ, ignoring doctrine, ignoring your spiritual life, ignoring anyone or more of these, means that you will in fact, live a dysfunctional life.  A dysfunctional life will result in major losses to you.  Losses and misery in many forms.  You will lose out in this life, and you will lose out in eternity.

Embracing and pursuing with a genuine desire, all of God, Christ, doctrine, and therefore your spiritual life, without trying to integrate compromises or modifications, or weird ideas or behaviors, will accomplish for you, great success both in this life, and especially in the next.

And what will all of this cost?

Nothing, but your positive attitude and genuine desire to learn.

With learning comes knowledge.  With knowledge comes behavior.  With behavior comes understanding.  With understanding comes wisdom.  With wisdom comes blessing.  With blessing comes responsibility. With responsibility comes accountability.  And, with accountability will come your evaluation at the Judgment Seat of Christ, when one day, you will stand before Him to receive nothing, little, or great eternal rewards.

Your overall goal and objective in life is the acquisition of wisdom through learning, then comes ability which leads to success, which leads to prosperity, which leads to wealth.  And the greatest wealth exists only within the spiritual life and in eternity.

Look to your own life for evaluation, and do not look to the lives of others.  God will deal with them as He sees fit, just as He will, you.  You were brought into life, therefore you will receive an evaluation.

You cannot control human history, but you can control your own destiny, or you can throw it away.  Your spiritual life or lack of it, will determine just how smart or dumb you really are.
