Revelation 21:4

4 And [kai] God [theos] shall wipe away [exaleipho] all [pas] tears [dakru] from [apo] their [autos] eyes; [ophthalmos] and [kai] there shall be [esomai] no [ou] more [eti] death, [thanatos] neither [oute] sorrow, [penthos] nor [oute] crying, [krauge] neither [oute] [ou] shall there be [esomai] any more [eti] pain: [ponos] for [hoti] the former things [protos] are passed away. [aperchomai] KJV-Interlinear

4 and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."  NASB

The new eternal state will be totally different from our present way of life.  Today we suffer from a long list of problems and pressures.  We have headaches, joint aches, emotional aches, financial aches, social aches and such.

We have our hopes and dreams, and often times we lose them.  More often than not, the dreams and hopes we begin our life with, fade into obscurity, and are replaced with disappointment or even depression
.

A birth defect, a genetic defect, an accident, social confrontations, even the process of growing old can contribute to our pains, to our sufferings, to the tears we will shed throughout life.

And, regardless of whatever successes we are blessed with in this life, they will all come crashing down sooner or later, as we all face the prospects of death either early or late in life.

14 Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil;    NASB

8 He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken.    NASB

3 He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face, He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.    NASB

Jesus Christ not only paid the price of sin, He also paved the way for eliminating all forms of suffering, forever.

Satan, the father of lies and deceit, the author of suffering, the commander of death, will be in the Lake of Fire, along with death, and, in the eternal state, there will no longer be any of the negatives of this life.

No more disease, no more broken bones or aching joints, no more aging, no more disappointments from life.  All of the negatives, all of the problems, all of the sufferings, all the curses we can currently experience, will not exist in the new eternal state.

Satan is only interested in himself and so he gives only suffering, misery, and dependency.  Such is the pattern of life in this current universe.  The positive side of this life, is that the pains and sufferings we will endure, will only be with us for a short while.  We can all persevere for a little while, because one day soon, all of the old things will be no more.

God gave us all life.  God created us a universe for our good, for our happiness.  And once all of the evil of life has been dealt with, then Gods ultimate plan for us all, will be established permanently.

Don’t dwell on the negatives of now, but look to the positives of tomorrow. Regardless of how old you are now, whether you are twenty, forty, or eighty years old, wasn’t it just yesterday that you were much younger?  Didn’t those years pass by quickly?

And so it will be with your remaining years.  This life will pass by quickly.  So suck it up, get with your daily study, and before you know it, God will show you the great and mighty things He has already prepared for your eternal life.
