Revelation 19:21

[sarx] KJV-Interlinear

21 And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat upon the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.  NASB

The details of the final days and moments of the last battle in history, are described in Zech. 14:1-13.

And while it will be a day of unimaginable chaos and carnage, it is a reminder to unbelievers that they need to believe in Christ, lest they spend their entire eternity in the Lake of Fire, and it is a reminder to believers that they need to get their act together, and live a daily life that is commensurate with the spiritual life as defined in the Bible, lest they lose out on their eternal reward.

The anti-christ and the false prophet will be brilliant world leaders, but they will be taken in an instant and thrown into the Lake of Fire.

That leaves the rest of the unregenerate world, who now without their leaders, will be dealt with by Christ in virtually an instant of time.

When Christ returns, His feet will step down onto the ground on the Mt. of Olives, and the ground will be split open into a great valley making a way for those trapped in Jerusalem, to escape toward Him.  He will simultaneously speak and the worlds wicked will drop dead right where they stand.

Once Jesus spoke and a fig tree died.  On another occasion He spoke and the raging storm wind and waves ceased.  On another occasion He spoke and a legion of demons fled a man that they were indwelling.

The voice of God is a powerful weapon.  Jesus need only speak and things happen.  And actually, He can accomplish anything with a mere thought.

And though we have now completed most of this book, with but three chapters remaining in our study, the information concerning the future of humanity should be readily clear.

Every so often people come up with bizarre predictions, like the end of the world in the year 2000, and the end of the world coming up in 2012, and the end of the world at various times in past history.  And all of them were, of course, wrong.

None of us can predict the future with calendar accuracy, but God has given us a timeline of events that is going to occur sooner or later in history.

Regardless of when they might occur, should not be of any importance to us, as our first concern should be the function of our daily spiritual life.  That is our preparation for eternity.

One day we will all stand before Christ and receive our evaluation.  Some will receive a huge reward, and most will receive nothing.  Since that reward is eternal, that makes it infinite in scope, and therefore extremely important to you.

This study may seem like watching some movie with awesome special effects, but this study unlike any movie, is going to be a very real future.  To disregard it would be a mistake of infinite proportions.

Therefore, as an unbeliever, your first obligation is to believe in Christ.

As a believer, then your obligation becomes a daily study in order to grow up spiritually and to get yourself prepared for that evaluation which awaits you.

As in Haiti, as in Japan, as in Indonesia, disasters can occur without warning.  No one in the world, is exempt or safe from disasters.  Anything can happen to anyone at anytime.  Therefore you have no time to waste lest you get caught up in something that you cannot recover from.

In those final days of history, people all over the world will look up and see Christ, and in an instant, their opportunity will vanish permanently and forever.
