Isaiah
33:7
7 Behold, their valiant ones ['er'el] shall cry [tsa`aq] without [chuwts]: the ambassadors [mal'ak] of peace [shalowm] shall weep [bakah] bitterly [mar]. KJV-Interlinear
7 Behold, their heroes cry in the streets; the
envoys of peace weep bitterly. ESV
After describing
the ultimate stable life in the previous verse, Isaiah dramatically changes the
tone of the message, to indicate the seriousness and the ultimate danger of
life in this world.
In Isaiah’s day,
Judah sent ambassador after ambassador, seeking peace. And yet the results were
never going to be peace, because this world is run by the devil himself, and he
is not interested in pursuing peace with anything or anyone.
Hezekiah failed in
his day, human history has failed throughout history, and in the tribulation,
which is still future, the antichrist will not be interested in peace.
Christians, who
are those who have believed in Christ, possess the title of ambassador from
heaven.
Our real nation
and true home, is in heaven. We are, as it were, on loan from God to this
world.
But this world is
not interested in God, not interested in truth, and certainly not interested in
us.
As a result, life
in this world will always be filled with heartache and hardship. And that will
not change until the second advent of Christ.
History is said to
be the angelic conflict. We as ambassadors, remain here until called home by
Christ.
There will come a
time, when two opposing nations are at odds, and conflict is inevitable, then
the ambassadors are recalled, generally just prior to war being declared.
In the Christian
life, we refer to that recall, as the rapture. Wherein, Christ will call us,
and snatch us out of this world, leaving only unbelievers behind, and thus
unleashing a terrible seven year period, which we call the tribulation.
The angelic
conflict will finally reach its end, when Christ returns in his second advent.
Until that occurs,
the world will be far from perfect, and will be constantly filled with burdens,
with heartache, with sorrow, and so forth. And there is nothing you can do to
make this world any better than that.
You can however,
make your life better as an individual, by learning Bible doctrine and advancing
to the stability of spiritual maturity.
Study [by instruction],
to show thyself
approved [spiritually mature]
unto God,
a workman [student]
that need not be
ashamed [ignorant],
rightly dividing [learning, understanding, discerning]
the word of truth [Bible doctrine].
If you can dream
and not make dreams your master,
If you can think
and not let thoughts narrow your views,
If you can meet
triumph with disaster equally,
If you can learn
and see your full meaning and purpose in life,
Then you can
believe in Christ, learn Bible doctrine, and grow far beyond the potential that
God has prepared for you.
These
studies are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org,
and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so
already, and therefore not be lost forever.
And
if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you
can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come
to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and
purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal
eternal reward which you will have forever.
To
ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete,
unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.
The
Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human
history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to
complete yourself beyond your imagination.
But
you have to decide to make that commitment.
No one else can study for you.
You have to do that yourself.
