Romans 4:6
6 Even as [kathaper] David [Dabid] also [kai] describeth [lego] the blessedness [makarismos]

as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts
righteousness apart from works: ESV
Paul now cites Psalm 32, wherein David likewise, just
as it was stated of Abraham, repeats that righteousness is not due to works nor
earned from works, but from faith.
So. Not only is there the example of Abraham, whom not
only the Jews but many gentile races claim as the father of their race, but
also David, who is generally thought of as exclusively an Israelite, or Hebrew,
or Jew, as it were.
This indicates that there is no place for works, no
place anywhere, within the scope of the scriptures, nor even the Levitical Priesthood
or the Mosaic Law, on which so many try to claim their path to righteousness.
In addition, all claims of works by implying that one
is doing Gods work, or one is promoting Gods will, or by seemingly trying to
circumvent Gods spiritual plan by inventing some other more convenient plan or
method for being spiritual, are likewise all false.
And in the next couple of verses, Paul will step
through the psalm and demonstrate the blessings of man who is forgiven and
freed from the punishment of sin, thus being treated as righteous. But this is not due to works, but by faith
alone and only faith.
