28:15
15 Because ye have said ['amar], We have made [karath] a

15 Because you have said, “We
have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have an agreement, when the
overwhelming whip passes through it will not come to us, for we have made lies
our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter”; ESV
For anyone who has not committed themselves to a daily
study and learning of Bible doctrine, then their contract with evil is effective,
by default.
But what advantage is there to the spiritual life?
Well, most would compare heaven to the lake of fire
and even after a moment of pondering, would agree that heaven is far, far
better.
Then there is the spiritual life which is available,
but only if you learn and grow up in your spiritual life, as a result of a
daily study and learning.
But too, you have to be in fellowship in order to
function within your spiritual life, which simply means that you have to
confess regularly to God the Father. You
do not confess to anyone else. Not their business.
And then, with growth and living within the spiritual
sphere of fellowship, you generate spiritual production, which the Bible describes
as gold, silver, and precious stones. Or
production within your life that is intrinsic in value.
This as opposed to worthless production of anything
done outside of fellowship (wood, hay, and stubble).
Advancement to spiritual maturity means greater reward
and blessing for eternity, as well as a more stable life now in this life
whereby you can understand and be oriented to life in this world around you.
But then, if none of this interests you, then you have
what is left. A contract with evil and
death and suffering and loss and worse.
Lies are assigned to everything that is not related to
the spiritual life. Reject the spiritual
life or ignore it, and you have lies and nothing more.
Falsehoods are assigned to everything that is not
related to the spiritual life. Reject
the spiritual life as God has defined it (you cannot define your own version of
the spiritual life), and you are left with falsehoods and nothing more.
Lies and falsehoods gain you nothing and lose you
everything.
Truth gains you everything. But truth is obtained only one way, which is
by means of the spiritual life, which is obtained and functions by way of a
daily study.
So, if you are reading this, then you have at least
made the first right step. Now to keep on reading and learning everyday of your
life. The spiritual life is a lifetime commitment
that continues throughout your entire life.
