Psalm 35:27
27 Let them shout for joy [ranan], and be glad [samach], that
favour [chaphets] my righteous cause [tsedeq]: yea, let them say ['amar]
continually [tamiyd], Let the LORD [Y@hovah] be magnified [gadal], which
hath pleasure [chaphets] in the prosperity [shalowm] of his servant [`ebed]. KJV-Interlinear
27
Let those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad and say
evermore, “Great is the LORD,
who
delights in the welfare of his servant!” ESV
In contrast with the
enemies of God, are those who appreciate and pursue God and His word.
The enemies of God end up
in shame, embarrassment and dishonor.
The friends of God end up
with honor, and prosperity, and favor from God.
For God intends for people
to be fulfilled, happy, and prosperous, and of course to live for all of
eternity.
And that is what is available
for all who accept truth.
So the contrast is clear.
Disregard God and reap the whirlwind of
failure and doom and shame.
Or, regard God and pursue
Him, and enjoy the fruits of success beyond imagination.
