28:8
8 For all tables [shulchan] are full [male'] of vomit [qe'] and filthiness [tsow'ah],

filthy vomit, with no space left. ESV
Isaiah continues with the metaphor, describing the
life and lifestyle and pattern of life, of those who reject God and truth.
Wickedness tends to be superficial, and shameful.
And what is more, the people who are being described,
as vomiting on the tables, do not care, or do not take notice of their
behavior.
Although many feel they are spiritual, but when it
comes down to the details of their life, a close examination reveals their
tendency of ignoring God, Christ, doctrine, and all of the many mandates
required and expected.
People pass by Christianity with lip service, but no
substance, never realizing that they are selfish and self-centered, and really
indifferent with regard to living the spiritual life.
They are comfortable in their chosen lifestyle,
because it is convenient. And when
compared to those who are outright defiant toward God, Christ, and doctrine,
there is no difference.
For lack of doctrine in the soul, is lack of doctrine
in the soul, regardless of why it is lacking.
And the result is the same, puking, vomiting, gagging,
and discusting.
When the soul is filthy, the life is filthy. And lack
of doctrine, which is the cleanliness of life, leaves only filth remaining.
