Romans 3:17
17 And [kai] the way [hodos] of peace [eirene] have [ginosko] they not [ou] known [ginosko]: KJV-Interlinear
17 and
the way of peace they have not known.”
ESV
Refusal or indifference toward a daily Bible study is
why people do not know peace, because they do not know doctrine, which is the
source of, and path to, peace.
Peace is the opposite of war, the opposite of
dissention. It is the inner tranquility
or inner contentment that is without worry, without stress, without
uncertainties.
The soul has all of these negatives when it lacks
truth. And the only way to possess truth
within ones soul is through a daily study, while in fellowship, and then the
repetition of that learning process day in and day out, throughout ones entire
life.
And not knowing peace, means that they, or you, or
anyone, have not decided to commit yourself to a daily study.
No one can be self-taught. No one can learn without
instruction. No one can learn or grow up
spiritually unless they pursue growth by means of Gods spiritual process.
Learning the words does not make spiritual growth. Bible doctrine has to be inculcated into the
soul, in order to become an integral and intimate part of you.
You can go out and buy things, but they are separate
and apart from you. Therefore they can
never become a component of your inner self.
They are external and will always be external.
But Bible doctrine incorporates inside of your soul
and fuses into your very essence. But,
you have to learn it correctly, and use it correctly. And those correctly’s mean by means of Gods
way, not your way.
Too many people try to take short-cuts and advance in
their spiritual life by side stepping Gods learning process. And short-cuts never work. Short-cuts are a fools, lazy man way, an
excuse to not study.
A daily study takes inner discipline and commitment,
and without that, there can be no success.
No success means no peace, and no peace means failure
and missing the boat entirely.
