Romans 3:12

12 They are [ekklino] all [pas] gone out of the way [ekklino], they are [achreioo] together [hama] become unprofitable [achreioo]; there is [esti] none [ou] that doeth [poieo] good [chrestotes], no, not [ou] one [esti] [heos] [heis].   KJV-Interlinear

12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”    ESV

When God looks down at humanity, He sees no one who is righteous.  None have gone or lived the life of righteousness or truth.  All have sinned.  All, together, are equally deficient, useless, unprofitable.

All of humanity, from Adam to the last person who will ever be born at the end of history, are corrupt, putrid, useless, offensive.

Therefore among humanity, there is no one who can step forward to pay the price of sin.  There is no one who can rise above their uselessness, and meet eye to eye with God.

There is no one who is capable of cleaning themselves up, of washing themselves off.

Rotten meat cannot make itself fresh again.

Sinners cannot make themselves sinless.  Even future generations are the product of rotten parents.  Rotten cannot produce pure.  Only rotten comes out of rotten.

Therefore, sinful humanity needs someone who is sinless, to clean him up, and of course that person is Jesus Christ.

Remember that in Adam all have sinned.  Sin is passed down through humanity through the male.  Jesus did not have a male father.  Joseph was not a party to the pregnancy of Mary.  Thus the virgin birth.

Thus Jesus was born without a sin nature.

Just as Adam was created without a sin nature.

Adam failed, Jesus did not.
