Psalm 35:8
8 Let destruction [show'] come [bow'] upon him at
unawares [yada`] [lo']; and let his net [resheth]
that he hath hid [taman] catch [lakad] himself: into that very destruction [show'] let him fall [naphal]. KJV-Interlinear
8
Let destruction come upon him when he does not know it! And let the net that he
hid ensnare him; let him fall into it—to his destruction! ESV
What goes around, comes
around. What traps that the enemies of God set for us, so shall those traps become
their traps.
And more than that, while
the enemies of truth go their way, with the presumption that what they do is
right and normal, and justifiable, so then, disaster and destruction will come
upon them, catching them completely by surprise. And then they are gone.
Life in this world is
increasingly secular.
And even though there are
many religions that people observe, and many philosophies that people live by,
the big flaw is that they all cannot look beyond this physical world. What is around them is all they see and
believe.
They do not look beyond
the physical world and into the spiritual, and even if they observe some
semblance of the spiritual, it is only a spiritual realm that they have
invented that is convenient to their life's beliefs.
Life dulls the senses
into the daily routines and repetitions that they have become use to, and ones
life has an outcome that people have become use to. Even death has a routine that is expected,
and may even be prepared for with respect to funeral plans, estate plans and
such, but the real hereafter is ignored and lost.
And then the surprise
comes. But that surprise always comes
too late. And too late is after ones
life has concluded and the next life engulfs you up into something very different
from that which was expected.
Some will go to Torments
and that will be a shock. All of the
many promises and expectations were lies.
Some will go to heaven and
there find out their life has been an embarrassment and empty, and what is
more, that they had the chance to get it right, but they ignored those many
chances.
The enemies of truth, lay
traps, even though they do not see life as an endless series of trap setting,
in their attempt to take that which they will never have. Their beliefs will in effect become their
trap, and what they seek will be totally lost.
