Isaiah 11:2g
2 And the spirit [ruwach] of the LORD [Yahovah] shall
rest [nuwach] upon him, the spirit [ruwach] of wisdom [chokmah] and
understanding, [biynah] the spirit [ruwach] of counsel [`etsah] and
might, [gabuwrah] the spirit [ruwach] of knowledge [da`ath] and
of the fear [yir'ah] of the LORD; [Yahovah] KJV-Interlinear
2 And the
Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the
Lord. NASB
Only believers in Jesus
Christ have an opportunity to have a relationship with God through Him.
Only believers who are in
fellowship have a functioning spiritual environment in which to have a
spiritual life.
Only believers have a
functional supernatural mechanism for advancing them in their spiritual lives.
Spirit - the power and
force of the blast of wind from God in His heaven, a force more powerful than
any in this universe, yet undetectable, unseen and unfelt, but very real.
Spirit 1 - fellowship.
The mandatory state for the spiritual life to function within.
Spirit 2 - perception.
The mandatory daily study activity for learning.
Spirit 3 - understanding.
The working knowledge and application to your daily life.
Spirit 4 - counsel.
Acknowledging that God is the ultimate authority and guide in life.
Spirit 5 - might. The
strength, poise, and stabilizing power of ones soul.
Spirit 6 - wisdom.
This is the ultimate in
clarity of thought, discernment, understanding, and awareness of just how life
works in this universe.
You achieve an
orientation to God and His policies. You achieve an orientation to people and
how they function in life and in history. You achieve an orientation and
discernment to life and what is true about life and what is not true in life,
and what is irrelevant in life. You achieve an orientation to self. Your own
thoughts, your own needs, your own wants, and how your own life, will fit into
life, into history and into your own future.
In wisdom, you have an
understanding of the difference between Gods discipline for believers and Gods
judgment of unbelievers. The objectives of both and the repercussions for ones
life if the correction is acknowledged or rejected. You have an understanding of the difference
between Gods discipline for negative believers and Gods testing of positive
believers. The objectives of both in getting the attention of the negative believer
so as to get them back on track in their spiritual life, and the enhanced
training of the positive believer so as to strengthen their faith and spiritual
might for life.
Your priorities in life
are changed to those which are meaningful and correct and you tend to not
pursue those priorities that reflect the lusts of the soul and carnal life.
In wisdom, the pattern of
your life has changed to follow Gods guidelines and not those of the jungle.
Your thoughts and views of life are true and right with lasting insight, common
sense and good judgment. You are able to match up facts with reality and
therefore you know and understand with confidence.
Your sense of security is
unmoved and solid in Gods promises and policy for your life.
19 So then let us pursue
the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. NASB
Peace is the ultimate
objective of the spiritual life. It is a completeness in contentment and
happiness and is a result in the 'building up' of ones spiritual structure in
the soul. Your insecurities have vanished. Your fears are all but gone. You
have a level of contentment and happiness that cannot be equaled in any life in
the jungle of this world.
You have achieved both a
strategic and tactical victory in your spiritual life. The strategic victory
came at the Cross when you believed in Christ and were saved. But at that time
you were an empty spiritual vessel. The tactical victory comes when you have
achieved a significant degree of independence from the chains of this world by
means of spiritual growth to spiritual maturity.
And best of all, you are
now qualified for those tremendous 'extra' blessings which God gives out only
to mature believers. Blessings for time
- Gods making use of you within His plan for human history. Blessings for eternity - Gods 'beyond'
imagination rewards for those who achieve and maintain their spiritual maturity
in this life.
Spirit 1 - fellowship.
Confession of sins demanded by God in order for you to first be obedient to His
rules and second for you to accept responsibility for your life, and third for
you to humble yourself and cancel out your arrogance.
Spirit 2 - perception
through a daily study program. This is your daily meal of Bible doctrine for
your soul. If you do not eat properly, you do not grow up nor will you stay
healthy (spiritually healthy).
Spirit 3 - understanding
of what you have learned, by means of application, of what you have learned, to
your daily life. You pray, you give, you support, you are obedient to Gods
commands and so forth. This is the early stage of maturing, of being
responsible, of being accountable for all that you think and do.
Spirit 4 is the counsel
stage of ones spiritual life. As you have learned through a daily study plan
then you begin to set a pattern for your life by means of the principles which
Gods teaches you through Bible doctrine.
Spirit 5 - might. Your
life is more stable. You have a greater and more relaxed mental attitude. You
have greater poise and can deal with problems in a much easier and organized
fashion. Things in life do not bother you as much as they did in the past. You
have less stress because your confidence is growing, in God and His provision
for your situation.
Spirit 6 - wisdom. The solidifying of the foundation of your soul
and the substance upon which faith is constructed and strengthened.
