Isaiah 11:2fues

2 And the spirit [ruwach] of the LORD [Yahovah] shall rest [nuwach] upon him, the spirit [ruwach] of wisdom [chokmah] and understanding, [biynah] the spirit [ruwach] of counsel [`etsah] and might, [gabuwrah] the spirit [ruwach] of knowledge [da`ath] and of the fear [yir'ah] of the LORD; [Yahovah] KJV-Interlinear

2 And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. NASB

Only believers in Jesus Christ have an opportunity to have a relationship with God through Him.

Only believers who are in fellowship have a functioning spiritual environment in which to have a spiritual life.

Only believers have a functional supernatural mechanism for advancing them in their spiritual lives.

Spirit 1 - fellowship. Confession of sins demanded by God in order for you to first be obedient to His rules and second for you to accept responsibility for your life, and third for you to humble yourself and cancel out your arrogance.

Spirit 2 - perception through a daily study program. This is your daily meal of Bible doctrine for your soul. If you do not eat properly, you do not grow up nor will you stay healthy (spiritually healthy).

Spirit 3 - understanding of what you have learned, by means of application of what you have learned to your daily life. You pray, you give, you support, you are obedient to Gods commands and so forth. This is the early stage of maturing, of being responsible, of being accountable for all that you think and do.

Spirit 4 - counsel. To whom do you look, for guidance in your everyday life. How you should think. How you should behave.

And this leads us to the fifth concept in the spiritual life. That of 'might.'

Initially you had to get into the mind set for picking up the Bible and studying it, and then studying it on a daily basis. That alone can be a difficult habit just to get started. After all we live in a 'serve me now' society and we expect results quickly. But as the child gets his answer when he asks, 'When will I be grown up?' And the answer is 'Be patient. You will grow up in due time.'

So also we have to be patient in our spiritual life. Gods timing takes us through our entire life. It is not a course in school which we take for a semester or a year and then we pass it and move on to another subject. Our spiritual life is our core life for our entire existence. It is the very foundation of our entire existence. Invest in it properly and you will have a great life both now and in eternity. Approach it with impatience or indifference and you will one day have a huge disappointment for having failed in something that was relatively easy to accomplish.

Might.

That is your power and your stability. As mentioned before. If you get past the daily grind of reading and studying your Bible, after you get past your initial reluctance to join a study group either with people or with an online study such as this one, after you have grown up a bit and have taken it upon yourself to begin to comply with Gods commands (yesterday's study), then you will begin to realize a real change in your life.

Things in life will not bother you quite as much as they did before. So what if you don't get waited on quickly in the store. So what if traffic is so congested in your daily commute. So what if your toast gets burned a bit. So what if the kids left you yet another mess to clean up. So what if you missed your favorite television show.

Life will begin to take on a greater meaning. Your attitude in life will be more relaxed. You won't worry quite as much about the bills and other pressures in life. You will be able to balance your attitude in life with your willingness to be more responsible and more accountable for your thoughts and actions in life.

You won't blame others, but you will be more patient and understanding. You will be more tolerant of others. People have their opinions and many of them will not agree with your newly forming opinions.

One of the first things you will notice about yourself as you continue to advance in your spiritual life, is that your poise will grow more stable. The tornado is crashing down upon your life and you can move in an orderly and quiet fashion toward safety. No panic, but clear and ongoing thinking. 'What do I need to do? Is everyone accounted for?' You demonstrate more concern and oversight for others and the things that need to get done, rather than blaming someone or thinking about your own needs.

Your thoughts are stable. Your resolve is sound. You are more flexible and less rigid in the unimportant things of life (things that others deem more important), and you are more tolerant of how others view life. You are less controlling, less demanding, less nagging.

Your judgment is based on clearer thought and more sound priorities. You are less silly in life. You have put away the silly approaches to God. 'Father, should I get the red or the blue one.'

Your decision processes are clearer to you and less burdensome. Common sense has increased in your thinking process.

You have gained an understanding that, it is God who controls history and your life, and not the circumstances or the environment that you happen to be living in.

Spirit 3 - understanding of what you have learned, by means of application, of what you have learned, to your daily life. You pray, you give, you support, you are obedient to Gods commands and so forth. This is the early stage of maturing, of being responsible, of being accountable for all that you think and do.

Spirit 4 is the counsel stage of ones spiritual life. As you have learned through a daily study plan then you begin to set a pattern for your life by means of the principles which Gods teaches you through Bible doctrine.

Spirit 5 - might. Your life is more stable. You have a greater and more relaxed mental attitude. You have greater poise and can deal with problems in a much easier and organized fashion. Things in life do not bother you as much as they did in the past. You have less stress because your confidence is growing, in God and His provision for your situation.
