Psalm 9:10
10 And they that know [yada`] thy name [shem] will put their trust [batach] in thee: for thou, LORD, [Yahovah] hast not forsaken [`azab] them that seek [darash] thee. KJV-Interlinear
10 And those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; For Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee. NASB
To know is to ascertain, to recognize, to understand, to see. And all believers in Christ, know Him by means of the gospel, believe in Him by means of the gospel, ascertain His purpose by means of the gospel, and understand the importance of Him with respect to ones own personal life.
To believe in Him is to live in eternity. To reject Him is to live in perpetual suffering and worse forever.
To place ones trust in Christ, is to seek a refuge, a place of safety, a place of confidence, a place of hope with certainty for ones future.
The Lord is the personal name for the second person of the trinity, Jesus Christ, who received the title in eternity past, Son of God.
The world forsakes everyone. The world does make promises but cannot keep them. Thus everyone who places their trust in the world will end up with nothing.
God, on the other hand, is well able to make promises and keep them. God forsakes no one, ever. God refuses no one who comes to Him, based on His design, plan and purpose, which is, faith in Christ. No matter how awful you have been or are currently, or even will become, faith in Christ will overrule your indifference and past or present behaviors. Faith conquers all. There is nothing that faith cannot conquer.
There is no sin, except refusing faith which is not a sin but a decision, that can defeat faith.
Once faith has been expressed, it cannot be undone, cancelled, removed, altered, changed in any way.
There is no time limit on faith. One can believe anytime during ones life, and even at the very last second of ones life. Faith is instantaneous, and when it occurs, is permanent.
Therefore to know Christ is to trust, in faith, Him.
To seek Christ, is to pursue, to ask, to discover, to learn, to diligently search.
Therefore for those who pursue their spiritual life through advancing in their spiritual life, God is again faithful and will bring them their promised reward for eternity. Furthermore, God will carry their load of burdens and help them through this life, through thick and thin.
He will never forsake them, will never relinquish them, will never turn away from them.
Ones initial faith for salvation is permanent and can never be removed. Ones pursuit in the spiritual life further enhances Gods bonds and promises with more promises of certainty.
