Revelation 5:11

11 And [kai] I beheld, [eido] and [kai] I heard [akouo] the voice [phone] of many [polus] angels [aggelos] round about [kuklothen] the throne [thronos] and [kai] the beasts [zoon] and [kai] the elders: [presbuteros] and [kai] the number [arithmos] of them [autos] was [en] ten thousand [murias] times ten thousand, [murias] and [kai] thousands [chilias] of thousands; [chilias] KJV-Interlinear

11 And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, NASB

And now John reveals that there is an even greater number of participants in heaven, who will all, in unison, begin the worship song of Christ.

Round about the throne, and through it, are the four entities, the very source of life and existence. Round about them are the twenty-four elders, here representing the Church Age believers. And round about them are the others who are in heaven, namely the Old Testament believers, and the angels.

This makes up the sum total of those in heaven, who are elected or saved, and of whom have the same opinion regarding Christ.

John gives us a number that is so great, that no creature, human or angel, are able to count their number.

The word for ten-thousand, ‘murias,’ means ten thousand, but it is an extension of ‘myriad,’ which means an indefinite number. Today we might use the word gazillion, to indicate a number so large that it is way off the charts.

But John goes on to add to the number, or myriad times a myriad, and then he adds more numbers to indicate that the first reference is not large enough to number those in heaven. If we took them at face value, then we might say ten-thousand times ten-thousand or a hundred-million, and then multiplied out again by a thousands times thousands, making the number a hundred trillion. But the thousands is in the plural, so that would make the number even larger which could send it to quadrillion, or quintillion, or sextillion, septillion, octillion, etc. And, since the first numbers mentioned are indefinite numbers, then that makes the total beyond staggering.

The idea here is that there is (or will be) a huge number of people (humans and angels) in heaven.

Someone once calculated an estimate of the number of people who have been born into this world, since the time of Adam, and that estimate a couple of trillion people in all (so far in history). And with a high mortality rate, as it existed in ancient times, that is probably a reasonable estimate.

If so, then the angels will vastly outnumber humans by a huge margin, given this number mentioned by John.

John goes even further to identify the greater segment of this number, as ‘many’ angels, since he mentions them specifically, as opposed to simply mentioning elders and beasts without the adjective.

And, considering the population of our world and the many opinions that exist in our world, and then comparing that to heaven with even larger numbers of occupants, but everyone is of the same mind (truth), that easily indicates the failure of Satan and man in their attempt to rule on earth.

Everyone who goes to heaven, will see truth, and recognize Christ as Lord, as Savior, as the Son of God, as King of kings, and especially the one who carried out and completed Gods plan, namely the Cross for salvation (the lamb), and so forth. How many opinions do we have here in this world? And how much instability?

Truth brings discernment and stability and more, whereas the lies of this world bring only ruin.
