Proverbs 1:28

28 Then shall they call [qara'] upon me, but I will not answer [`anah]; they shall seek me early [shachar], but they shall not find [matsa'] me:   KJV-Interlinear

28 Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me. ESV

Back in verse twenty-two, we studied three categories of spiritually indifferent people. They are the simple, the scorner, and the fool. Each category displays increasing levels of indifference.

The Bible is the written word of God. God has magnified His word above His own name.

The written word contained within the Bible, is our sole access to truth, to understanding, to knowing God.

The written word, is the means by which we learn and obtain wisdom. And it is wisdom, that is speaking within this verse.

If you do not learn Bible doctrine, then you cannot learn wisdom. And if you do not know wisdom, then you cannot access the resources of wisdom.

Those who do not learn wisdom, lack wisdom, because they do not learn Bible doctrine. And they do not learn Bible doctrine, because they do not pursue it. Their spiritual life is not genuine, and therefore is phony.

And when times of trouble strike, then the lack of resources within the mind, because of the lack of resources within the soul, expose the individual to the dangers and pressures and terrors of life, with no real support beyond their life.

God does not bend down into this world, and into the life of the individual, and work His will, directly.

Gods will, functions by means of the word of God. And to learn His will and function within His will, then you have to know His will.

Wisdom is the content of the Scriptures, that is resident within your soul. It is resident within your soul because you have learned it by means of a daily Bible study.

And when you face trouble, and lack wisdom within your soul, then wisdom will not hear you, and wisdom will not respond to you, because so far as your soul is concerned, it simply isn’t there.

To seek early, refers to someone getting up at the crack of dawn, and going out and searching for something in the obscurity of that early morning twilight. This typically refers to the diligence and genuineness and earnestness of the search. And the symbolism of the early dawn, is that of the light breaking forth and revealing itself to the person who is earnestly searching.

But the indifferent person, which describes every person who does not pursue Bible doctrine by learning it daily from instruction, is the same person that lacks the genuine desire to seek out, to find, and to learn Gods will.

The result, is that the individual is ill-equipped when disaster strikes. And the resources that should have been there, are not at his disposal, because he didn’t prepare himself when he could have.

Study [by instruction],
to show thyself approved [spiritually mature]
unto God,
a workman [student]
that need not be ashamed [ignorant],
rightly dividing [learning, understanding, discerning]
the word of truth [Bible doctrine].

If you can dream and not make dreams your master,
If you can think and not let thoughts narrow your views,
If you can meet triumph with disaster equally,
If you can learn and see your full meaning and purpose in life,
Then you can believe in Christ, learn Bible doctrine, and grow far beyond the potential that God has prepared for you.

These studies are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org, and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so already, and therefore not be lost forever.

And if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal eternal reward which you will have forever.  To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.

The Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to complete yourself beyond your imagination.

But you have to decide to make that commitment.  No one else can study for you.  You have to do that yourself.
