Psalm 27:13

13 I had fainted, unless [luwle'] I had believed ['aman] to see [ra'ah] the goodness [tuwb] of the LORD [Yahovah] in the land ['erets] of the living [chay].  KJV-Interlinear

13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. NASB

Believed or faith, ‘aman,’ is the entire foundation and basis that we or any person has for relying on God and the good that is anticipated from Him

Without faith, there is despair, anxiety, faintheartedness, anguish, desolation, worry, insecurity, total uncertainty of life and of ones future.

None of us know what tomorrow will bring.

We can only assume that it will be a repeat of today or yesterday, and the days that have been before us.

But when it all comes down to it, none of us have any assurance that we will even have a tomorrow, and for many people, the today’s will be the last day that will be seen in this world.

Without the bible and the doctrine that God has given us in accordance with His plan, we would not be able to distinguish right from wrong, left from right, up from down.  We would be totally lost in a sea of fog with no hope and no future.

But with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to know the real for the fake, then God has given us doctrine, so that while we listen and learn spiritual information as He has deigned, then simultaneously, God constructs within our soul and spiritual structure that enables us to see life clearly and to orient to life correctly, such that life cannot swallow us up in its deep pits of deception.

Faith is the result.  But faith is not a hope or a wish based on luck or charm, it is the substance of the spiritual life that is based on sound doctrine within your soul.  But of course you have to learn doctrine first, otherwise your faith would be empty and worthless.

The world promotes that which you can see and feel and taste and measure and such, but most of that is a lie when you lack any or all truths about life.

Faith cannot be measured, or seen.  It can only be believed, which is probably the most difficult aspect of the spiritual life. Because you have to trust in God, whom you have never seen or heard, but only know from the scriptures you read or hear.

The world will try vigorously to get you to disbelieve, to get you to doubt, to get you to mock, to get you to become indifferent, to get you to hate the one and only source of all that is good, when in fact the world, which is the cosmos of evil, is the instigator of all that is bad, attempting to confuse you, to disorient you, to keep you from anything and everything that is good.

Your ticket and path to reality and all that is good, comes only through faith that is developed through your daily intake of bible doctrine.
