27 For [gar] it is written [grapho], Rejoice [euphraino], thou
barren [steiros] that bearest [tikto] not [ou]; break forth [rhegnumi] and [kai] cry [boao], thou that travailest [odino] not [ou]: for [hoti] the desolate [eremos] hath

husband [aner]. KJV-Interlinear
27 For it is written, "Rejoice,
barren woman who does not bear; Break forth and shout, you who are not in
labor; For more are the children of the desolate Than of the one who has a husband." NASB
Paul quotes from Isa. 54:1.
Sarah, was the barren woman who had no children for
the greater portion of her life. That is
until she received the promise from God, through Abraham, that she would have a
child, a male child, who would be a blessing for innumerable peoples throughout
the ages.
Hagar, was the fertile woman, but she represented
the world of works, or the accomplishment of her production from the effort of
human plots and plans. As such, she was
a slave, functioning as a slave, and producing as a slave, and from that,
nothing more could ever or would ever be accomplished.
Any and all production of the world, is temporary
at best and will eventually fade from existence. Man cannot create life, but can only
perpetuate the temporary. Only God can
create life.
Any production resulting from the promise of God, is
permanent and will last forever.
Therefore, the offspring of Sarah, are the
offspring resulting from the promise, which is a reference to the promised
savior, Jesus Christ. And any and all
who believe in Christ, are, in effect, the offspring of Sarah through the
promise she received from God.
Her blessing in having Isaac, continued the line of
Christ, resulting in the first advent and the Cross, and the completion of Gods
plan for salvation.
Salvation saves all who believe in Christ. And all who believe in Christ, are the
children, or offspring, or result of Gods promise.
No one was ever saved because of the fertility of
any woman or all women who ever lived in all of history.
No man gains any credit for siring children. No woman gains any credit by bearing or even
nursing children. Salvation is not by
procreation, but by Gods promise.
