Psalm 18:27

Psalm 18:27

27 For thou wilt save [yasha`] the afflicted [`aniy] people; [`am] but wilt bring down [shaphel] high [ruwm] looks. [`ayin] KJV-Interlinear

27 For Thou dost save an afflicted people; But haughty eyes Thou dost abase.  NASB

God is truth.  Satan promotes lies.  Gods policy is grace.  Satan's policy is evil.

Truth rules, while evil attempts to destroy truth.  Anyone who is lined up with truth, whether in creation, salvation, or spiritual attributes of any kind, will find itself the enemy of evil.

Evil opposes anything and everything, including itself, for evil is inherently self-destructive.

Anyone who aligns themselves with truth, will find Gods mercy at their disposal.

Anyone who aligns themselves with evil, will find Gods judgment a greater force to be reckoned with, and they will lose horribly.

Save, ‘yasha,’ does not refer to salvation as when one believes in Christ, but is in reference to Gods defense and deliverance from harm, from evil, from all that is corrupt in this world.

To be devoured by evil means to be swallowed up by evil and made to share its destiny.

Deliverance from evil, means to escape from that association, from the clutches, from the traps of evil.

Any alignment with truth, will make you a target of evil, but alignment with truth also, brings Gods wall of fire protection around you such that evil will never snatch you away from Gods family, from your future in heaven, for your destiny in eternity.

Haughty eyes, refers to arrogance in general, but is directly related to the rejection or opposition toward truth.

Arrogance is the cornerstone of evil, and is dealt with accordingly.
