Proverbs 1:24
24 Because I have called [qara'], and ye refused [ma'en]; I have stretched out [natah] my hand [yad], and no man regarded [qashab]; KJV-Interlinear
24 Because I have called and you refused to
listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded, ESV
Sooner or later
the phrase, too late, will cancel and terminate all efforts, that are in
reality false efforts, in the attainment and function of the spiritual life,
and relationship with God through Christ.
Our communication
with God, is through the written word contained in the Bible.
The phrase, I have
stressed out my hand, is a reference to the instruction that is provided from
the Bible, through instructors, which is the primary means for learning Bible
doctrine.
Those who heed the
Bible, listen and learn, and subsequently grow up and develop in their
spiritual life, and to them, come the blessings of life through Christ.
Those who do not
subordinate themselves to a daily instruction do so out of arrogance, and an
indifference toward Gods mandate to commit themselves to a daily study.
The content of the
Bible, is the food of the soul.
Food is something
that you eat daily. The nourishment of the soul, requires a daily diet of Bible
doctrine.
Developing in the
spiritual life, requires virtually no effort on your part, except through listening,
or reading the instructions that are provided by an instructor.
Residing in
fellowship, which is obtained by confessing your sins on a regular basis, to God
the Father, is the environment in which your spiritual life functions.
Failure in the
spiritual life, comes from a long list of excuses, as to why you cannot and do
not comply with Gods mandates.
Most people behave
like children, and pretend they can’t do something, or can’t find something, or
ask silly questions like, help me do this or help me do that, as they refuse to
take the initiative and do something themselves. Consequently, they don’t grow
up, and they don’t develop in their spiritual life.
God has provided
for each one of us, phenomenal blessings for this life, and for the next.
People who do not
pursue the development of their spiritual life now, do not have these
blessings, and consequently miss out on the greatest life that is available to
them now. And that is tragic, because the greatest life is available now, but
childish behavior prevents adult behavior, which prevents blessing.
And the only
person at fault, is you.
And so we have
this proverb, which comes directly from God, for all Scripture is God breathed.
People did not
invent the Scriptures, but only wrote down what God gave them to write.
This daily Bible
study, is freely and available online, and is accessible through the Internet,
by nearly everyone in the world, who has a computer, or a phone, or some smart
device, which most people in this world possess, in one form or another.
Therefore, no one
has an excuse for failing in their spiritual life.
It is the
individual’s fault for the lack of initiative and the lack of effort, to read a
study, to click on a link and go to a study, to search through the website or
the blog, and discover the many hundreds of charts, and special studies, and
the vast library of daily studies, which by the way, numbers in the thousands,
all of which are easy to access.
You are the only
one that controls your attitude.
There is no set of
circumstances or situations in this world anywhere, that can prevent you are
thinking, that can prevent your desire, for spiritual life in a relationship
with God through Christ.
If you genuinely
desire it, God will bring doctrine to you, or you to doctrine.
It regardless of
who you are or where you are in this world, you have an opportunity to have a
life with the greatest of opportunities, now.
But as this verse
states, God calls, and extends his hand, which symbolically means that this
opportunity is available to you.
But, if you do not
heed the call, then the fall is yours, and someday sooner or later you will
cross the line of, too late. And that is the greatest failure and loss that you
can ever have.
But for the
moment, until God removes you from this world, you have the opportunity for the
greatest success for this life, that is beyond imagination.
The question is,
will you heed the call, will you pursue the call, will you engage in a daily
study, and stick with it every day throughout your entire life?
And by the way,
don’t get caught in the false excuse, that you can do it all on your own, or on
your own terms. One of the things you need to learn first, is that Bible doctrine
is taught through an instructor, and is not self-taught.
An infant does not
self-teach nor self-educate. The infant learns from others.
The student of the
word of God cannot self-teach nor self-educate. These are typical cute excuses
used as a disguise for an otherwise indifferent attitude, wherein people simply
do not study and do not learn.
Study [by
instruction],
to show thyself
approved [spiritually mature]
unto God,
a workman
[student]
that need not be
ashamed [ignorant],
rightly dividing
[learning, understanding, discerning]
the word of truth
[Bible doctrine].
These
studies are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org,
and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so
already, and therefore not be lost forever.
And if
you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you can
learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come to
the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and purpose
in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal
eternal reward which you will have forever.
To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be
incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.
The
Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human
history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to
complete yourself beyond your imagination.
But
you have to decide to make that commitment.
No one else can study for you. You
have to do that yourself.
