Psalm 11:7
7 For the righteous [tsaddiyq] LORD [Yahovah] loveth ['ahab] righteousness; [tsadaqah]
his countenance [paniym] doth behold [chazah] the upright. [yashar] KJV-Interlinear
7 For
the Lord is righteous; He loves righteousness; The upright will behold His
face. NASB
The psalm opens with the
advice to flee, to run away from whatever trouble or life you are presently
having.
But the psalm ends with
this statement, that it is far better to place your life in Gods hands, and
then let the chips of the world fall where they may, because in Gods hands, you
are absolutely safe, even if this world takes your physical life from you.
God is righteous. That means that He is perfect, without flaw,
without sin, without taint of any kind whatsoever.
God it truth.
This world operates on
everything but truth. The world
compromises standards, pushes the rules to favor one person over another, sets
up regulations and laws and whatever, in order to control something (life)
which it cannot control. The world does
nothing but create burdens, pressures, stresses, worries and so forth, on
everyone.
God is perfect. God is righteous. Righteousness is the absence of all of these
things, and therefore God loves righteousness.
And this love, ‘ahab,’ is like a sensual or intimate love or strong or burning
desire and passion.
Gods love for truth is
intense in other words, and nothing can or will ever replace it.
So, by subscribing your
life to Gods will, then your life is subject to an intense (power of God)
security and safety and prosperity and so forth.
His countenance, ‘paniym,’
is in the plural. Countenance is
generally the appearance of ones face, the aura, the impression, the sensation,
the quality, and it is used with regard to the complete essence of God.
God is omniscient,
omnipotent, omnipresent, veracity, righteous, justice, eternal, love, sovereignty,
immutable.
All of these things work
together for you personally. So, you have
a great deal of resources on your side.
The world can do nothing
to match them or even cancel them out.
Running away, or chasing
after anything that this world has to offer gains you nothing.
A daily study of the Word
of God, gains you blessings and a life that is beyond anything you could
possibly imagine.
