7 Arise, [quwm] O LORD; [Yahovah] save [yasha`] me, O my God: ['elohiym] for thou hast smitten [nakah] all mine enemies ['oyeb] upon the cheek bone; [lachiy] thou hast broken [shabar] the teeth [shen] of the ungodly. [rasha`] KJV-Interlinear

7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God! For Thou hast smitten all my enemies on the cheek; Thou hast shattered the teeth of the wicked. NASB

A call to action.

This is a phrase taken from typical human behavior. We can sit and lay down, and then when we have to do something, we get up and do it. Therefore, arise, or get up and do something.

God of course does not sit or lay down and being omnipresent, is everywhere simultaneously. God does not have to change His posture in order to do something.

This is a call to action, from the one and only source whereby help can be obtained.

As God is omnipresent, so to, doctrine in the soul is ever present and ready to confront difficulties when they occur.

Smitten enemies, is a phrase used for fighting off wild ferocious animals, such as a crocodile or lion.

The world is very much like a wild animal in its activity and behavior. Animals in the wild have very few and limited goals which all relate to survival in one form or another.

And as animals, this speaks to the predators of life who try to destroy anything that gets in their way, and anything that is needed in order to survive.

But when fighting a wild animal, when you strike the cheek, this illustrates the action of rendering the animal impotent.

Break the cheek bone, break the teeth and the animal becomes harmless.

Of course animals have claws and such, but this is an illustrative example for defeating an attack by disabling the attacker.

When evil attacks, strike it and break its jaw, break its teeth, render is harmless and therefore useless.

God arising, is doctrine in the soul being elevated in the mind and then used in ones daily life in order to deal with the problems of life that face us daily and throughout our lives.
