10 The four [tessares] and [kai] twenty [eikosi] elders [presbuteros] fall down [pipto] before [enopion] him that sat [kathemai] on [epi] the throne, [thronos] and [kai] worship [proskuneo] him that liveth [zao] for [eis] ever [aion] and ever, [aion] and [kai] cast [ballo] their [autos] crowns [stephanos] before [enopion] the throne, [thronos] saying, [lego] KJV-Interlinear

10 the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, NASB

The twenty-four elders, sitting on their twenty-four thrones, which we studied earlier in verse four, demonstrate their acknowledgement of the rule and authority and position of Christ, by bowing before Him and removing their crowns of royalty, and placing them at His feet.

For it is due to Christ that they have the crowns in the first place.

None of the elders (these represent the believers, and especially the mature believers of the Church Age), could have achieved their rank and blessing, were it not for Jesus Christ. That will be clear from their testimony in the next verse.

In heaven, there is perfect peace, prosperity, and contentment. There is no conflict, no dissention, no conceit of opinion. There is no inordinate ambition or competitiveness for authority or recognition.

The picture of Christ, the throne He occupies, and the foundation of truth upon which it sits, and so forth, provide overwhelming proof, in substance, as to the power and right and truth of God.

Far too many people live in this world and do not even take the time to read their Bibles. They all have an opinion, and they are all wrong in their conclusions regarding life. And yet right before us we have the detailed description of heaven and Gods sovereign authority and control, and purpose, which is good, and has the best interest in mind for each and every person.

And yet, people just do not seem to be interested. And that is unfortunate.

But as for you, since you are actually reading this study, and perhaps are engaged in other studies (hopefully good and legitimate studies), your future will be infinitely better than most people who live in this world. Actually your destiny will be infinitely better than most folks who have lived in all of human history. Too many have ignored the grace and blessings offered by God, and that is due to their disinterest.

If you have been following the 1 Timothy 6 study, then you know that those who lack truth, lack it because they just are not interested in truth, but in their own self defined destiny, which is no destiny at all.

By setting aside your own opinions and learning the truth from doctrine, you will voluntarily discover the overwhelming grace and blessings of God, and your total destiny and completeness in life, which comes from Him and through Him.
