Psalm 33:7

Psalm 33:7

7 He gathereth [kanac] the waters [mayim] of the sea [yam] together as an heap [ned]: he layeth up [nathan] the depth [tahowm] in storehouses ['owtsar].  KJV-Interlinear

7 He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap;  he puts the deeps in storehouses.   ESV

Not only did God design and create all that exists by the command of His word, but he continually manages creation.  Jesus Christ controls history.

The word for gathers, ‘kanac,’ means gathering or to continually gather on a repetitive course of action.

The seas and especially the troubled seas, are often used in scripture as symbolisms for mans rebellious ways and attempts to control his own history.

And yet the seas, when they storm, always fall back into the confined areas assigned to them.  God assigned the seas to their respective boundaries, and God keeps them there despite their rebellious nature.

The depths in storehouses, refers to the vast reservoir of ocean waters that are stored up in the depths of the seas.

But the word for storehouses, ‘owtsar,’ also refers to treasure, or armory, or storehouse.  And God does not just have a vast amount of water stored on planet earth in the depths of the oceans, He has vast treasures, resources, supplies, raw material stored throughout the planet, placed in strategically located places.

A storehouse is a place that when something is needed or required, then one goes to the storehouse and gets what they need from there.  And so God not only controls history, He manages history, revealing resources and such in the time and place of His choosing.

In the prior verse, God commands. In this verse God manages.

There is nothing that escapes His attention, nothing that was left out or overlooked in His divine design.

God provided for plenty of food sources, plenty of seeds, plenty of fish, plenty of natural resources, plenty of plant life, plenty of bird life and animal life and air and water and on and on.  He likewise provides people in history, born into history at the proper time, in order to perpetuate mans discovery and innovation and such, so that humanity will survive and continue in history.

Often times man remains in one place and gets himself into trouble.  God provided for frontiers to where man can go to escape trouble, to discover new things, to promote their own identity.

The tower of babel was disrupted with multiple languages forcing man to move away to the four corners of the world.  Frontiers were made available so that man could escape abuse and seek out their own freedom.  The new world was discovered at the correct time in history.  People were born into history in order to discover and innovate and invent innumerable things.

The vastness of Gods resources and the power of His foresight and ability to manage, are virtually infinite and error free.

Man has proven over and over again in history, that he cannot manage himself very well.  Were we left to our own devices, then human life would have disappeared long ago.

And yet God has brought into history probably well over a trillion people since Adam, and the resources of this planet are still vast.  And even as humanity looks at dwindling resources with negative remarks, God still has a plan.

When Christ returns at the Second Advent, He will begin a thousand year reign, the likes of which history has never seen.  Populations will explode, life spans will be extended well into the hundreds of years, families will be huge and our current population of over seven billion will be but a drop in the ocean if compared to the populations of the Millennium.

And the resources will still be vast and humanity will lack for nothing in a perfect environment world.

The only resource that humanity is really running out of, is knowledge of Bible doctrine, because as a general rule, people do not want to learn it.  And not learning doctrine puts you into a trap of your own making.
