Psalm 33:3

Copyright Ó 2014 J. Neely
Psalm 33:3

3 Sing [shiyr] unto him a new [chadash] song [shiyr]; play [nagan] skilfully [yatab] with a loud noise [taruw`ah].  KJV-Interlinear

3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.  ESV

And not only is the soul filled with the music of the spiritual life, this new music is a new song, the song of the spiritual life, as opposed to the cries of the old life.  The contrast, between the carnal life and the spiritual life, is dramatic and extensive. Why would anyone want to remain with the old?

The new song is your new or newly being formed spiritual life, as a result of your daily studies and growth.

The skillful playing, is the development of your spiritual resources within your soul, your understanding, your wisdom, your faith.

And the loud shouts of noise, are the confidence and poise and contentment and happiness that develops within you.

All of these are descriptions of a successful you, as a result of your obedience to Gods mandates, and adherence to and your perseverance through all of the guff and trouble that will be thrown your way.

God is greater than all of the negatives and all of the critics, and all of the jerks of the world.  And as you learn to ignore them, then just that much more peace of mind, becomes yours.
